He did a great job onboarding us for the whole process and made us feel heard and appreciated before we even got to the wedding day! We ended up having several particular requests that include making cuts and edits of existing songs, and MC Duke had absolutely no issue working with us to make everything come together effortlessly. We also got to make our own playlist for pre-ceremony and cocktails! MC Duke even helped my best man drop a huge surprise audio track during his speech — a moment we will never forget. You’ll have a ton of flexibility with setlist options and the dance playlists are absolute bangers. Also definitely ask about his upgrades. What impressed me most was how much she helped beyond simply being our DJ. She helped coordinate the flow of the reception, communicated with us throughout the process, kept track of important details, and helped make sure everything transitioned smoothly. When you’re getting married, there are a hundred tiny things happening at once, and having someone who notices those details before you even have to ask is incredibly valuable. Our wedding brought together two culturally different families, and she did such a beautiful job making everyone feel included. The music and atmosphere never felt like one side of the family was being asked to fit into the other. It felt like one celebration created specifically for us. One of our favorite moments was the flower girl dance. Our flower girls absolutely loved it! Seeing how excited and happy they were out there dancing was such a sweet part of the night, and it gave them their own special moment that they’ll remember. Their smiles said everything. Another moment that really showed the kind of person Inessa is was when she actually came out and danced in a circle with the little kids. She wasn’t standing behind the DJ booth simply watching everyone have fun. She got down there with them, joined their little circle, danced with them, and made them feel like they were an important part of the celebration. Watching the kids light up around her was incredibly sweet. That small moment said so much about how caring and kind she is. She was warm with our guests, flexible when things needed adjusting, and calm when we needed direction. Instead of feeling like we simply hired a DJ, it felt like we had another person on our team who genuinely wanted the night to go beautifully. We are so grateful for everything DJ Inessa did for us. “Hi all. My husband and I researched and interviewed several DJs in the Phoenix Metro area for our wedding in Sedona, AZ. Music is very important to us. We've been to loads of weddings where the music and DJ are trash (you've also been to them). We wanted someone who would listen to our musical tastes (ranging from pop to hip-hop to house to blue grass), our dislikes for routine wedding playlists, and our desire to entertain guests from 13 to 80. Dave at Desert House Productions fit the bill and crushed it. Period. If you think you're about to book a DJ and you haven't talked to Dave at DHP, then take a minute, send him an email, and set up a quick meeting. Check out his credentials - he's been in the music business for decades, and he takes all of his professional experience and caters them to your individual event. He also worked with our wedding planner, venue, and vendors to provide amazing lighting, the perfect space configuration, and some fun add-ons (cold sparklers are super fun). “The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”
