Poplar Hill is a 100 acre farm that was built in 1790. The home is surrounded by mature landscape with English boxwoods and crepe myrtles that are 100 plus years old. Every couple and family that comes to Poplar Hill tell us that our pictures do not do it justice! We take pride in the care of the house and grounds and cherish the opportunity to share it with others!

“Poplar Hill Wedding And Events Venue was the perfect choice for our wedding. The communication from the staff was reliable, timely, clear, and very nice throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself is clean, roomy, and truly unique - it has a beautiful rustic feel with an amazing property that is so well-maintained. The staff was incredibly helpful and present whenever we needed them, making sure everything ran smoothly on our special day. The food was absolutely delicious, and the owner was an absolute pleasure to work with. I could not imagine getting married anywhere else.”

“We had a terrific experience working with Lewis Ginter to host our wedding. The event planning staff was great, from our initial inquiries, through the planning process, to the last few weeks leading up to our wedding getting all the details squared away. The Bloemendaal House was the perfect venue for us in that it allowed us to have an outdoor wedding near the city without having to pay to erect a tent ourselves. While we didn’t need it, the staff was ready to accommodate a rain plan and kept the setup flowing smoothly. The catering and bar service were excellent, and it was so convenient to work with a venue that has a great in-house caterer. They kindly fielded requests from us all the way up to our wedding week. We had many positive comments on the food from our guests, particularly the mini beef wellingtons and tomato soup! They were also happy to have us bring in a non-traditional dessert option (an ice cream wagon!). The staff also took care to bring us drinks and food as the bride and groom to make sure we were well taken care of.”
