“I will try keep this short because I certainly could go on for hours about the benefits of this venue. From the moment we toured the Leavitt, we knew that no other venue would do. Older family members did not understand the vision at first, but continually came up to us throughout the wedding to say how blown away they were by it all. The venue is so beautiful that we saved tons of time and money on decor, opting for some bud vases & a few arrangements as well as DIYing movie posters and other small but powerful touches unique to a venue like this. The pièce de résistance of the Leavitt Theatre are the people behind it. The staff blew us away. Coordinator Nell knows the Leavitt like the back of her hand, the chef worked hard (& never once made us feel like a problem) to accommodate multiple allergies and restrictions, waitstaff were professional, personable, and courteous throughout the night, and the tech team is passionate and detail-oriented. Above all, I knew we made the right decision when we saw the owner had shown up to work that night, getting his hands dirty, going above and beyond. When one of our guests lost her heirloom ring, they stayed behind and scoured the venue. It’s clear in their work and the care they put into our event that this theater is more than just a business, it’s a family legacy that we are proud to have had our wedding at. When you rent a place as historical as the Leavitt, you’re paying for character, charm, and a night that no one will forget. We are so happy with our choice and recommend it to anyone looking for something different.”
