“My son and daughter-in-law's wedding was two months ago, and we are still basking in the glow of that beautiful day—and for so many reasons, one of them being our experience with Raul Ruiz and his entire team at The Grove. From the moment we began planning, Raul was an extraordinary partner. I affectionately nicknamed him “The Maestro,” and I think that says it all. His years of experience, including planning his own wedding, give him an incredible understanding of what it takes to create a truly special celebration. Raul asks the right questions, makes thoughtful suggestions, and pays attention to details you may not even know to consider. He guided us with professionalism, compassion, and kindness, while leading his team with confidence and respect. One moment perfectly demonstrated his expertise. We had planned to hold the ceremony at the Carriage House, but 45 minutes before the ceremony, it started to rain. We had to quickly move the ceremony indoors. The Grove team immediately went into action, setting up the chairs and transforming the room in what seemed like no time at all. There was no panic—just a team of professionals who knew exactly what to do. Our guests would never have known we had changed plans at the last minute. And the team! To say they were attentive would be an understatement. We are still talking about our attendants. They anticipated what we needed, made sure we had food and drinks, steamed garments, checked in on us, and handled the little things that could easily have become big things—all with warmth and a smile. Our Maitre d’, Vas, was another standout. He was always nearby, quietly watching over the celebration and ready to step in whenever needed. His calm, professional leadership gave us tremendous confidence. And then there is The Grove itself. The venue was beautiful, the size was perfect, and the facilities were wonderful. The Bridal Suite and Groom’s Suite were beautiful and comfortable and gave everyone a wonderful place to prepare and gather before the celebration. Our 200 guests were so impressed by the cocktail hour. The variety was incredible, and everything was delicious. Some guests actually thought the cocktail hour was the reception because there was so much food and so much to enjoy! Dinner was equally impressive. People are still talking about the filet mignon, and my branzino was fantastic. The chef and culinary team truly delivered. The Bridal Suite and Groom’s Suite were beautiful and comfortable and gave everyone a wonderful place to prepare and gather before the celebration. But perhaps what means the most to us is that our son and his bride were so happy and so proud of their wedding. The Grove helped bring their vision to life and fulfill their dreams for the day. As parents, there is no greater gift than seeing your children genuinely happy on one of the most important days of their lives. When you entrust a venue with such an important family celebration, you want beautiful surroundings and wonderful food—but you also want people who will care about your day and know exactly what to do when the unexpected happens. That is what we found at The Grove. Raul and his team didn't simply execute our wedding. They helped us experience it. And for that, we will always be grateful.”

“We had our wedding at The One & Only Westmount Country Club in early November 2025. It was a perfect venue! The staff were amazing, and the site was impeccable. From the moment we toured the Westmount it was pretty clear it would be perfect for us. We wanted to do the wedding on-site in the garden off the Continental Ballroom. Karen worked with us to make everything perfect and coordinated every detail according to our vision for the day. Since the wedding, we have heard nothing but praise and compliments from our guests. Multiple people have told us they have never had such good food at a wedding, and the dessert extravaganza (only word to describe it) was second to none. From the welcome drinks and snacks, to the cocktail hour, to dinner service and dessert, our guests cannot stop raving about the food and service. The outdoor venue with twinkle lights in the trees, up lighting, a fountain next to the gazebo, and the picturesque garden gate was the entire aesthetic we wanted. We highly recommend The One & Only Westmount Country Club. The staff, the venue, the food, and the suggested vendors all made for a dream wedding and magical night. Not only are the grounds stunning, not to mention you have the entire venue to yourself for the duration of your event, but the staff constantly tends to the bride and groom’s every need AS WELL as ensuring all guests are taken care of. The food is amazing and there is so much of it between cocktail hour, dinner, and dessert. It is no exaggeration to say that there is something for everyone - No one will be leaving with empty bellies! There are also so many options for those who have dietary restrictions. We got nothing but rave reviews. The staff ensures that everything goes to plan, you absolutely do not need a wedding coordinator if you get married here. As the bride at the Park Savoy, I can say I actually felt like royalty or the first lady on wedding day, but they also take care of you during the entire planning process to keep you organized. It was a no-brainer to pick Birchwood Manor as our wedding venue not only because of the beautiful grounds but how outstanding Farrell is. We had investigated about 10 venues but Birchwood Manor stood apart from them all. After having our wedding we can say how we made the right choice. All of the wedding party was comfortable and able to get ready on site. We were stress free to whole day. Farrell executed our plans every step of the way. She accommodated the entire Manor for us to use the entire day. The food ...and especially our wedding cake was out of this world. Our guests enjoyed our special day as much as we did. “There truly are not enough words to describe the level of service we received at The Legacy Castle for our wedding. From beginning to end, the entire experience was beyond exceptional. Our Lead Banquet Services Coordinator, Camry, was absolutely incredible. From our very first meetings through the wedding day, she handled everything with such professionalism, patience, and attention to detail. She kept up with our incredibly busy schedule, was always accommodating and understanding, and remained flexible even with our last-minute changes. She put everything together so seamlessly that we were able to simply enjoy our wedding without worrying about a single detail. From the moment I arrived at the Castle, I was greeted by our wonderful maître d’ and immediately felt completely taken care of. I was also welcomed by two beautiful young ladies, Nicole and Adriana, who were personally by my side from the second I stepped out of the car and throughout the entire day. I genuinely cannot put into words how incredible they were. They helped clean and bustle my dress, kept my lipstick in their pockets and made sure it was reapplied throughout the night, made sure I was always fed and hydrated, and constantly checked that I had absolutely everything I needed. They anticipated my needs before I even had to ask. I never once had to worry about anything — they were always one step ahead of me. I truly felt like a princess that entire day. The amount of care and attention they gave me allowed me to be completely present and enjoy every second of my wedding. And the food was absolutely phenomenal. Our guests still cannot stop talking about it! Before the wedding, one of our concerns was whether there would be enough food for everyone, but looking back, we laugh because we simply did not realize the level at which The Legacy Castle operates. The amount, variety, presentation, and quality of the food completely exceeded anything we could have imagined. We added the sushi boats, which were a HUGE success with our guests and absolutely worth it. And then came the Viennese display — it honestly felt like walking into Willy Wonka’s chocolate room. Everywhere you looked there was something beautiful and delicious. It was over-the-top in the absolute best way and such an unforgettable way to end the night. The level of care was unlike anything I have ever experienced. It wasn’t simply good service — it felt personal. Every member of the staff made us feel as though our wedding was the most important event in the world to them that day. Even our vendors could not stop talking about how impressed they were by the professionalism, organization, and service of The Legacy Castle team. That alone says so much. I am still in awe of how beautifully and seamlessly everything came together. I truly don’t think I have ever experienced this level of service anywhere in my life. It was worth every single penny we spent. Being able to enjoy our wedding day knowing that we, our families, our guests, and even our vendors were being taken care of at such an extraordinary level was priceless. To Camry, our wonderful maître d’, Nicole, Adriana, and every single member of The Legacy Castle staff: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You made one of the most important days of our lives absolutely unforgettable. We will forever be grateful.”

“Don’t overlook the Short Hills Hilton for your wedding! It was the perfect location for our big day, offering a central gathering spot where our guests didn’t have to worry about traveling throughout the day. We explored several traditional venues, but none felt as right as this one. We had a November wedding and didn’t expect to have an outdoor ceremony, but the hotel’s lovely patio space was a wonderful option, and surprisingly, the noise from the JFK Parkway wasn’t an issue. For our indoor ceremony, the venue features a permanent enclosed tent structure. At first glance, it didn’t seem like much, but with the help of the event coordinator Vivian Cohen’s help and coordination with our florist, the space was transformed into something breathtaking. The reception space was spacious and perfect for our 170 guests—large enough for everyone to feel comfortable but not so big that it felt empty. Guests still rave about the food and service! The chef and maître d' truly deserve all the praise. The hors d’oeuvres were diverse and delicious, from sliders to a pasta bar to sushi. We chose the salmon and short ribs for dinner, which we selected during a private tasting session. The hotel grounds, filled with foliage, were perfect for photos, especially as we were lucky to have beautiful fall colors for our shoot. Victoria at the Hilton was incredibly helpful with coordinating room blocks, hotel room gift bags, and storage. Vivian was a dream to work with—she was welcoming, communicative, and made everything run smoothly. Her checklist was a lifesaver for keeping track of details, and she was hands-on with day-of coordination, ensuring everyone knew where they needed to be and helping with the little touches that made everything perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to help make our wedding day unforgettable!”

“Dreams really do come true at the Tides! The best thing you can do is book your wedding there. From the day we booked and leading up to our big day Michael was very forthcoming and helpful. He was very responsive, followed up on all my questions and made sure we felt supported. The venue itself looks out of a fairytale. They are in a rural location so the greenery as you drive up is beautiful. The inside looks akin to a palace with many rooms and a beautiful lobby.  You don't even have to decorate too much because the place itself is so elegant and classy. The garden is soooo breathtaking. They have 2 ceremony spaces outside, beautiful flowers and greenery. Plus it's so big! You get a lot of bang for your buck. I didn't hire a day of coordinator and I basically planned everything myself with the bridal party, but the Maitre D and venue staff were very instrumental in making sure our event ran smoothly. I was super nervous thinking about the day of. I planned everything out but couldn't leave my seat because hello, I'm the bride lol. I was getting ready all morning.  But thanks to our Maitre D Alberto, the event flower perfectly. He kept us on time. Helped get the bridal party together. He literally went above and beyond. It's so incredible just thinking back to it. I know some venues are hands off. But the staff was just so dedicated to making our every request happen if possible. Thanks to Alberto, our wedding day went by beautifully without any hitch or drama. It's unbelievable because I heard there is always some kind of issue the day of. We paid for a 6am opening so me and my bridesmaids could get ready at the venue. Michael set up a wonderful breakfast in the bridal suite it was like being home! We were so comfortable and we're ready on time for our 11am start. Truly wonderful. We had the small bridal suite so to our small party but it was super nice and a great set up for getting ready! The food and the drinks were to die for. First of all, the cocktail hour was loaded with so much food! Not only do they include a variety of delicious hor'devours. You get to choose from from different entrees and stations. The guest are still raving about it a month later! Everything was excellent. From the presentation to the quality of the meals, it was the best wedding food I've ever had. When the reception came all the guests were too stuffed for their reception entrees! My cake came from David's Custom Cakes, their partner. I got the dulce de leche filling and let me tell you it was so rich! I'm definitely coming back the next time I need a cake! Honestly I am a happy bride. I have no regrets, in fact it was even better than I imagined! Don't hesitate to book them, you will not regret it!”

“Booking our wedding at The Westin Governor Morris was honestly one of the best decisions we made for our big day. We booked 18 months in advance and Christina was incredible to work with—she answered emails right away and we could stop by whenever we wanted to talk through details. Having everyone stay on property meant our guests felt like they were part of something special, and the ballroom itself was stunning with the perfect atmosphere for throwing a party! The food was absolutely incredible, and we loved being able to head straight to the hotel restaurant bar afterward to keep the party going. We did run into a small issue with the hotel rooms, but it was handled. “I can't begin to describe the amazing wedding celebration we had at The Terrace at Biagio's. We had our ceremony at the venue as well and everything went perfect! Barbara and John were top tier! Communicating with me from the moment we met until the wedding, answering all my questions at all hours and making our vision come to life! They were on top of everything from start to finish, and we were constantly taken care of us. Not only did they excel but they did it all with great personality and love! The Terrace itself was a gem! Our guests raved about the cocktail hour! It was an assortment of the best food possible, all so fresh and impossible to not go back for more. Bar service was top notch and our signature drinks were a hit! (Barbra actually was the one who made that vision come alive! Lavender martini and bacon maple ole fashioned). The dessert hour was a fire show! (Literally a fire show) And there was every dessert possible! Carnival, ice creams, cakes, cookies, chocolate fondue, etc! We had our first look down the road at another location but we took photos on site in the front of the entrance to the terrace and they came out beautiful! It's a smaller area but it has beautiful flowers and a stream. The ceremony was on the roof top and it was beautiful with the waterfall fountain and stone fire place! Lots of cute places to take some very nice photos! Along with the string lights and arch, it was a dream. I can't rave enough about how much Biagios made our day so enjoyable, and beautiful. I would recommend them over and over again thank you again to the hardworking staff, Barbara, John and Tommy. It is a night we will cherish forever. Oh, and they allow dogs to be in the ceremony It was everything to be able to have our fur baby share our special day with us.”

“My husband and I chose the Envue Hotel to be our all-in-one wedding venue and hotel room block. We actually signed our contract two years ago when a different management team was in place. After signing the contract, a new management team came in, and we could not have been more amazed with the level of service. It truly was a blessing in disguise. Chris and his team are truly one of a kind. From day one, Chris jumped in and truly became a partner in our wedding planning process. He was not only great at communicating, but also open to collaborating to make it the day of our dreams. I feel like so many venues we visited put numerous restrictions in place, but Chris listened to all of our ideas and was open to executing on our vision. He advice and guidance was so reassuring throughout the entire process. The venue itself is STUNNING. I can’t even express how many compliments I received from our guests. “This is the most beautiful venue I’ve ever been to” and “This is the best cocktail hour I’ve attended” was uttered all throughout the night. The fact that guests could dance at the reception, and then step outside on the balcony made it such an incredible reception space. Everyone loved it! Edwin was our Maître D. He was so friendly and detail oriented. I didn’t notice a single thing that didn’t go the way I wanted it to, and I know it was because Edwin was running a tight ship behind the scenes. The food was incredible and the bartenders were so friendly. Ali handled our room block, and I was also so pleased with the level of communication. Ali was responsive and accommodative of our requests. I didn’t hear a single complaint about the check in process, and the rooms were updated, clean, and beautiful. The Skyline Suite is also perfect for those “getting ready photos” the morning of J All in all, I think the Envue is a hidden gem of a wedding venue! With the ferry right in front of the venue, you can have all the perks of NYC while avoiding the craziness. Thank you, Envue and Team!”

“We knew we wanted to host our wedding in Jersey City so our guests could enjoy the skyline and the water views. After viewing multiple venues, we landed on Maritime Parc for 7/20/24 and it was the best decision we made. Our wedding planning ran smoothly because we worked with Maritime’s team. Working with Priscila, the sales manager, was like working with family. She was available whenever I needed her which made getting answers to questions quick and easy. She went above and beyond her role. This venue offers a classy food tasting and cake tasting at their restaurant. Even though they host weddings every weekend, they made us feel that ours was very special and important. We appreciated working with Alexis on our timelines and floor-plan. She was very organized and thought of all the little things that we never would have!! Our day of Captains and Bridal Attendant, Marc, Rita and Patricia were the best!! Always there when we needed them and so so kind. My family members raved about their helpfulness. The entire staff at Maritime (servers, bartenders, valet, etc) were professional and attentive. It is rare to have such good and consistent service at a wedding. Lastly… the FOOD. What other wedding venue serves Scallops over braised short ribs?? None! Choose Maritime for a stress free wedding year!”

Why Choose New Jersey for Your Wedding Day?

New Jersey gives you four distinct regions with unique wedding settings and styles to match any vision. September tops the charts for wedding inquiries here, so you'll want to plan ahead if you're eyeing a date during peak season. The varied landscapes mean you can find everything from waterfront elegance to historic charm without traveling far.

What Types of Wedding Venues Can You Find in New Jersey?

The venue scene in New Jersey covers just about every style imaginable. Luxury estates like Park Chateau in East Brunswick offer stunning French-inspired architecture with gorgeous European gardens that make for incredible photo backdrops. If water views are your thing, places like Liberty House showcase breathtaking NYC skyline panoramas right alongside the water. History buffs fall in love with venues like Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange with its historic grounds and Mediterranean gardens. Modern couples gravitate toward industrial spaces such as The Art Factory in Paterson where contemporary design meets character and uniqueness.

How Much Should You Budget for a New Jersey Wedding?

Wedding venues in New Jersey typically run between $8,600 and $10,600, which falls right in line with the national range of $6,500-$12,000. Your overall costs will scale with your guest count.
