Going into wedding planning my only experience with florals was my weekly purchase of a 3.99 mixed bouquet from Trader Joe’s. We only met with Miranda twice before our wedding, and yet she was the vendor who we knew got our vision, respected us, and would give it her all, and W O W, she delivered!! (Not to exclude she also has awesome referrals, and she’s the reason we found our wedding photographer, and our floral preserver!) I knew going into wedding planning that the beautiful staircases covered in roses would be out of budget, so when I inquired I gave her our budget not knowing what that would get us. At the initial consultation we went over florals I had sent her from Pinterest, and we talked through what I liked about each arrangement, what I didn’t like, and then she walked me through what certain flowers would date our wedding etc. Miranda also went through the types of arrangements we could have at our wedding that would work within with our budget, gave us an idea of how they would look on our wedding day, and then afterwards sent over a vision board, and again, W O W. My husband and I were blown away at how she brought our wedding vision to life! On our wedding day Miranda showed up in full confidence, gave us a sweet card that we later learned had the info of the farms where our flowers came from, and then she created art. We were absolutely blown away at watching her arrange our alter centerpieces, at how beautiful my bouquet was, and just how fast she made the arrangements! We really appreciated how tidy she was, her energy, and all of our guests complimented our florals too! My only regret was not taking any of our arrangements home (we have a cat who would’ve eaten them) but I am so glad that I chose to get my bouquet preserved! We love you Miranda!

I am OBSESSED with Big City Vibes! It was an incredible gift to have my wedding florals in such capable, creative hands. From start to finish, Big City Vibes made this an easy, stress-free experience for me! I felt like their highest priority. They listened to my vision and elevated the floral design *above and beyond* what I had imagined on my own. They communicated clearly and consistently, and I also never felt pressured to spend more money than what I had budgeted. I am so impressed with their flexibility, attention to detail, and passion for their craft. The florals are still what I loved most about our wedding! I HIGHLY recommend Big City Vibes, and I can’t wait to work with them again in the future.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Serves Byron Center, MI

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Poppy put together the my bouquet and the boutineeres from the groomsmen and aisle markers. The flowers were beautiful but I was a bit underwhelmed with the final product. I had wanted a much larger bouquet and compared to what I received it was beautiful but not what I was truly expecting.

Jen is incredible and worth every penny! My husband and I weren't very sure about how we wanted our wedding florals to look. We also didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on flowers that would only last a day. We stumbled upon wood flowers and discovered Wood and Word Blooms! Working with Jen was wonderful and seamless. She helps you every step of the way to figure out what you would like. The DIY class was so much fun, and we were able to build all of our centerpieces, boutonnières, and bouquets. Jen also built my cascade bouquet and beautiful garland for us! As my fiancé and I started the wedding planning process, we joked that our loose theme would be “flowers and love.” We knew we wanted lots of beautiful, lush florals as the primary decor focus, and also knew we didn’t want to spend the many thousands of dollars to achieve that look with a standard florist. If you’re in the same boat, and have an appetite for some DIYing, I’d STRONGLY recommend working with Bloom Culture. After some Googling for DIY wedding florals, I came across Bloom Culture and spoke with Allison for a custom consultation. During the call, Allison helped me express the type of floral look we were going for, and built out a custom floral package that would achieve it. She also laid out the delivery and prep process, and we landed on a final package and timeline for delivery. We received a LARGE box of flowers the week before the wedding and were immediately pleased with the quantity and quality of flowers we had received. Allison’s guide mentioned that some crushed or damaged blooms would be completely normal, but everything was so well packaged we didn’t notice more than a few damaged stems. From there, the DIYing began. Between unpacking, trimming, de-thorning, trimming again, building bouquets, arrangements, boutonnieres, etc, etc, it was a LOT of work. However, we referenced Allison’s guides (written, video tutorials) religiously and they laid out everything perfectly. She strongly recommends having plenty of assistants -- pay attention to this advice! Find a few trusted friends or family members who have time and artistic ability and it will make all the difference in your stress levels. The flowers all lasted beautifully for the wedding and we received so many compliments on how they looked. Allison - thank you for everything!

I contacted Katie 5 years ago to order a custom bouquet and boutonniere for my literary themed wedding that took place in the KC Public Library. From the first conversation I knew I had made the right choice. Katie was communicative, enthusiastic, and lovely during the entire exchange. I still have my flowers displayed in my home and they’re a beautiful memento of such a special day!

Studio Wilde Floral

5.0

  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Byron Center, MI

Hi, I'm Sarah! Welcome :) Studio Wilde is bases out of my home studio in Fenton, MI. I like to focus my work on unique and artful design with a bit of funk. My favorite client to work with is someone who wants something unique and personalized to them!

Sarah is definitely one of those people who is on board to be different. She doesn't shy away from funky, nontraditional methods. She is the first to step into a challenge, the best for making "grunge" beautiful, and the one I can count on to level up the creativity on "basic" designs. As a vendor, working with her was seamless and I loved how communicative she was. I know she is the same way with her clients as well. She offers guidance and an open mind but delivers ABOVE and BEYOND what you would have ever comprehended. She's one of those vendors that I feel confident in referring, not only for her work, but her work ethic. I know I never have to worry when she's on the team! If you're looking for something different, stop looking. You've got it in Sarah.

Leah at Primrose is INCREDIBLE!! You will absolutely LOVE working with her!! She does a day with her brides where you schedule an appointment to come in and “make your bouquet”. Essentially she has a ton of flowers in vases laid out for you in a room and you start pulling the ones that you love. This helps her understand your style and vision, so that she can create a wedding bouquet for you that’s individualized and everything you’ve ever dreamt of! My flowers for my wedding were absolutely incredible. I couldn’t be happier! Leah was so easy and so kind to work with. 10 out of 10 recommendation!!
