The only private event space offered at Founders, The Centennial Room features a fully-staffed bar with eight taps (including one nitro tap), and can accommodate groups up to 65 seated (with additional seating for 50 on the deck.) Located on the second story of our facility, the room has a small lounge area with comfortable leather chairs and two walls of windows - east and south-facing - looking out over the city of Grand Rapids. Our wraparound porch connects to the event space via two glass-garage doors. The room is outfitted with three large flat-screen televisions and a retractable projector screen for PowerPoint or video presentations. A podium with a microphone can be available for any speeches or group announcements. The Centennial Room can be booked in 3-hour minimum blocks. Additional time can be added at a price per-hour charge if available.

Camp Newaygo is an all girls resident summer camp, which has been around since 1925. During the times we do not have campers on site we specialize in weddings and events in our three gorgeous lodges, which offer rustic charm with all the modern amenities. We are a romantic and classic wedding venue located in Shepherd, Michigan, just minutes from Central Michigan University. Our reception space can accommodate up to 375 guests and features a beautiful floor-to-ceiling fireplace, fairy lights, floral chandeliers, a custom bar, farmhouse tables, banquet tables, and black Chiavari chairs with leather cushions. We also offer a prep kitchen, two parking lots, and a beautifully landscaped backyard area with a privacy fence, two patios, and a pergola. One of our favorite features is that we have two private getting-ready spaces: The Ivory Suite and The Sable Room. Each suite includes a lounge, private bathroom, and changing room, giving both sides of the wedding party their own comfortable space to relax and get ready. We are also currently adding an indoor ceremony space, which will allow couples to host both their ceremony and reception at The Wright Place. This space is expected to be complete by the end of summer, August 2026.

The Red Barn, built in 1910 by Mike’s great-grandparents Ernest and Helen Faling, was inherited by Mike in the 1980s. He transformed it into a home where he raised his three daughters. On August 6, 2016, Mike’s oldest daughter held her wedding on the property, inspiring the creation of a wedding and lodging venue. Named "Little Flower Barn" (from "Fiorillo," meaning "Little Flower"), the venue honors the family heritage. In early 2019, Mike and his partner Sarah remodeled the Red Barn to accommodate 17 guests, constructed a reception barn for 300 guests, and added a pond-side amphitheater garden. Little Flower Barn offers a beautiful, functional backdrop for events.
