I love serving all of Texas as a wedding and engagement photographer! I am an avid FRIENDS and Disney fan, lover of perfecting my favorite M&M Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe and engagement/wedding photographer! I have been a wedding photographer since 2015 when I was first asked by one of my college ultimate frisbee friends to take pictures at her wedding. It was love at first snap! I feel in love with capturing people's love stories using my favorite art form: photography!

The face behind Padre Ryan is me, Laura Schimmel, a Corpus Christi transplant from New England. I worked at Padre Ryan for 2 years as Director of Photography before taking on the ownership role in January of 2017. I love every moment of being a photographer, videographer and business owner. I love being out on the beach when I can, whether it's taking photos or just relaxing. I also just welcomed a baby girl into my life this past November! We couldn't be prouder and happier parents.
