“When we started wedding planning, we knew finding a “one stop shop” sort of venue was going to be our best bet. We toured a couple venues from another well known company and some Wedgewood properties, and ultimately decided that Wedgwood Aliso Viejo best fit our needs. From our first meeting all the way to the day of (16 months later), we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Breanna and Sierra were exceptional planners and their meetings with us leading up to the wedding really made us feel like we didn't have anything to worry about. I’m a very type-A person and I never felt like I was asking for too much. We had all of our questions answered and had pleasant interactions with Kimberlyn as well. On the day of, Sierra, Lily and DJ Rachel were extremely attentive, communicative and overall on top of everything. I appreciate that we were able to call, text and email any questions we had at any time and heard back from the Wedgewood team in a very timely manner. Of all of our wedding week events, we had the least concerns about the wedding day and everything ran smoothly and to our liking. We have been receiving tons of compliments about how the staff were running a tight ship and that we didn't have to worry about anything because it all was taken care of. I am very big on customer service and we have not heard a single negative comment from any of our guests. The only hiccups with our wedding were issues with outside vendors that the Wedgewood team helped us address. The vibes were great, the food was amazing, we even had good compliments about the bartender being very cool and making amazing drinks. We really could not have imagined our special day any better than it turned out and we are so incredibly grateful to all of the Wedgewood Aliso Viejo for making it all happen!”

“I originally met Christina when she did my hair as a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding. She was incredibly sweet and patient, and has a very calming presence, which is exactly what you want from any vendor on your wedding day, so I decided to book her for my wedding. I did a trial with her about 2 months in advance of my wedding. I decided I wanted to include hair extensions for added volume on my wedding day. I had never purchased extensions before, and Christina was so helpful to make sure I bought the correct extensions. My mom has very curly hair and wanted to keep her natural curls, so she contacted Christina ahead of time to discuss a style that would complement her hair. It turned out perfect. On the day of the wedding, she showed up on time and brought an assistant with her since we had 8 people getting hair and make up done. All of the girls had different hair lengths, textures, etc and Christina made everyone look amazing. I was a little anxious in the morning and Christina was so sweet and comforting while working on my hair, it really made all the difference. My wedding was outside on a very hot day, and after all of the running around, dancing, jumping and sweating, my curls still looked great at midnight. Would definitely recommend booking Christina!”

“We hosted our wedding weekend at Casa Loma Beach Hotel recently, and it exceeded every expectation. With guests flying in from across the country and around the world, we heard nonstop praise about how cozy, elegant, and effortlessly chic the hotel felt (plus the cocktails and cookies were top notch). The staff was incredibly accommodating--helping with porterage, clear communication, and even a few lost-and-found rescues (thank you Amber!). Allene and Elisa were standout stars throughout the weekend helping us host several events at the hotel over three days - and stepping in to address curveballs from vendors and weather. When a once-in-a-blue-moon monsoon forced us to pivot from our planned rooftop events, the Casa Loma team handled the change with grace and creativity, preserving the overall vibe we envisioned. Guests-both locals and out-of-towners-couldn't stop raving about the views and the unbeatable location. Some spent time in the cute nooks and crannies throughout the hotel or relaxed on their balconies with those unmatched ocean views (when the rain finally let up), while others wandered over to Marine Room for late-night drinks thanks to the perfect location. And of course, the food via Sapphire was amazing! We were able to check off all our boxes when it came to cuisine and transport our guests to all ends of the earth with food from the Mediterranean, Malaysia, and South America. The Late Night Bites of sliders, fries and chicken tenders were crowd MVPs at our Afters. Thank you to the entire team for transforming a rained-out wedding weekend into the intimate, romantic wedding of our dreams.”

There is still so much you have to do and deal with during wedding planning so it was great to know that we had a team behind us taking care of things and keeping us on track. Blaire was our main planner, and we also worked with Hannah and Sharon along the way. All 3 ladies are so kind, knowledgeable, and overall just a pleasure to work with! With the full-service package, the team connected us with the most amazing vendors at varying price levels, which we appreciated. This saved us SO much time of having to do our own research. We also really appreciated the honest advice they gave us in terms of where to spend vs. where to save. This is the kind of insight that we would've never had on our own and was so valuable to receive from an experienced wedding planner. There were also a few times where Blaire stepped in and advocated on our behalf with some of our vendors which resulted in less stress for us and more money saved. They also worked with us to execute the vision we had in terms of design and aesthetics. Even though we had a few changes of heart with some design elements along the way, the team didn't flinch and gladly adjusted things for us. Joyfully also offers their own rental items (discount included with the full-service package), and renting most of our decor items through them also saved us a lot of time and money (can you sense a theme here?!). Fast forward to our wedding day, everything looked so beautiful and the evening went so smoothly. It was truly the happiest day of our lives! We had always heard horror stories of things going wrong on your wedding day, but for us, none of that happened & if it did, we didn't even know because Blaire and her team took care of it for us. “TLDR: Hiring Modern Highway for our wedding was, hands down, the best decision my wife and I made for our big day. First and foremost, they are all talented, professional, and brought a large repertoire to the table. Christina is a fantastic singer, with big range. She is also a great business person, again with exceptional range - handling our light, acoustic service music, our post-wedding cocktail music, and our reception music. All live - which kicked the sheeet out of a DJ. She also MC’d. For weddings, hitting hitches is bad - there were none. The long version: Our wedding was a Sunday. It was in a more remote area from LA - Temecula. My wife had just been injured in a car accident - so we were a little nervous but the event was still a go with many people flying in. I am a musician and my wife and I had made the decision that live music was what we wanted for our big celebration. In hindsight, my only regret is the Sunday wedding because we hired Modern Highway to do our music and they were on fire. And some guests had to think about…Monday. But Christina and the band really held things together. It was a fun event and a big piece of that was the music. Christina brought a tremendous amount of energy. Her voice is electric and, when it came time to dance, the band brought it. Christina was very active moving through the crowd, dancing and singing. It is so hard to do that well - to be the energy. Where we needed “other” services, for first dances, parent dances, introductions, ceremony, etc., Christina & Modern Highway had it all covered. In a few cases we needed streamed music - covered. We needed someone to make the event go from the mic - covered. In a unique circumstance, my own band wanted to play - covered. If I’d been them, I would have said no. And frankly, based on what I saw from Christina, we could not have had a better person handling the mic that night. My wife and I look back on our wedding day as a true blessing - a day we were ecstatic about on the spot. I know a big piece of our internal satisfaction is knowing the entertainment was top notch. I wish Christina could have been our photographer as well!”
