Choose The Riverhouse!
There are so many decisions a couple makes leading up to their wedding, and choosing The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station was hands-down the BEST decision we made! We would recommend The Riverhouse to anyone and everyone planning a wedding without hesitation. From the moment we toured with Jim, we knew The Riverhouse was in a league of its own. Unlike other venues that felt focused on selling us their space, Jim was humble, sincere, and welcoming. He answered our questions honestly and made us feel comfortable immediately. We knew we had found our venue! Kelley and Hattie organized a phenomenal tasting showcase. As foodies, we loved sampling the menu and seeing the espresso bar and photo booth in action. Even the warm cookies for the drive home were a thoughtful touch! Kelley was equally wonderful throughout planning, patiently answering my dozens of questions. She even offered her own espresso machine so my dad could enjoy his espresso without us paying for the add-on. That gesture meant the world to us. And then there's Rob. We met him just the day before our wedding, yet he immediately put us at ease with his professionalism, calmness, and attention to detail. One memory I will cherish forever is standing with my dad moments before walking down the aisle. Rob was the only person there with us. He reminded me to breathe, told me I looked beautiful, and gave me the confidence I needed. I will never forget how cared for he made me feel. Rob and the entire team continued to go above and beyond all evening. Near the end of the night, I asked Rob a question, and he said, "Yes, we will take care of that, but you need to go to the dance floor now." Our last song was about to play, and they wanted to ensure my husband and I didn't miss that moment together. They handled the details so we could simply be present. Even packing up at the end of the night was completely stress-free! The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The tented ceremony space provides peace of mind in unpredictable weather, while the Connecticut River, bridge, and elegant staircase create breathtaking photo opportunities. Our guests repeatedly described the venue as romantic and full of love. The indoor balcony overlooking the dance floor was a favorite, offering incredible views of our loved ones celebrating. It was also the perfect spot for our sweatsuit outfit reveal and group photo! The outdoor patio with chairs and firepits is another wonderful touch. And the FOOD! It was phenomenal—and I say that as someone who actually ate at her own wedding! The mac and cheese bar was a huge hit, and we're STILL hearing compliments. Coordinating desserts through Cakes by Donna was seamless, too. What truly sets The Riverhouse apart isn't just the stunning property or incredible food; it's the PEOPLE. The entire team made us feel heard, supported, and genuinely cared for from planning through the final moments of our wedding. To Rob, Kelley, Hattie, Lauren, Jim, and the entire Riverhouse team: THANK YOU! You made our wedding everything we dreamed it would be, and we will forever be grateful. Trust me. Trust them. You will not regret choosing The Riverhouse!

The Very Best
Choosing The Riverhouse was one of the best and easiest decisions we made during our wedding planning process. From our first visit, we knew it was special, but what truly sets Riverhouse apart is the team behind it. Kelley, Hattie, Lauren, and Holly were incredible to work with throughout the process. They were always responsive, detail-oriented, and genuinely cared about making sure everything came together exactly as we envisioned. One thing we especially appreciated was how much support they provided leading up to the wedding. From the meetings and planning calls to their extensive tasting experience, every step was thoughtfully organized and helped us feel confident and excited rather than overwhelmed. On the wedding day, everything flowed seamlessly, allowing us to simply enjoy being present with our family and friends. The food was phenomenal, and we received countless compliments from our guests all night long. The Riverhouse will always hold a special place in our hearts. We are so grateful to the entire team for helping create a day that was even better than we imagined, and we already can't wait to come back and visit for one of the many events they host throughout the year.

Simply gorgeous
From our first conversation with The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station, we knew we had found the right venue. The team was incredibly responsive and thought through every detail before we even had to ask—they had plans in place for setup, breakdown, vendor coordination, and speech timing that we didn't even realize we needed. On our wedding day, everything ran like clockwork, from dinner service to the final toast, and we honestly had zero issues. Our guests couldn't stop talking about the food and drinks, and everyone raved about how beautiful the atmosphere was. The Riverhouse team went above and beyond to make sure our day was seamless and special. We can't recommend them highly enough!

From the moment we first inquired about hosting our wedding at The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station, the staff was detailed, timely, and incredibly friendly in all of their communication. The venue itself is elegant, spacious, and provides an intimate setting for a special occasion. The attentive staff went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day ran smoothly, and they were flexible in accommodating our needs. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at The Riverhouse and would highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for the perfect place to celebrate their big day.

Absolutely perfect!
I first found the Riverhouse searching on Zola. My husband and I spoke with Holly for our initial appointment. Holly had light music playing over the speakers when we arrived, and when I walked into the ballroom and onto the dance floor, I looked at my now husband and said, “This is it, I hope they have a date in 2025 available”. The planning process with Kelley and the team was wonderful! The worksheets that are provided make planning easy and outline all the tasks clearly. We attended their vendor show which helped us determine exactly what we were looking for in our vendors to design our perfect wedding day. Our detail meeting about a month before our wedding day was smooth and we easily made all our banquet choices. A week before our wedding, we met with Holly to ensure our day of timeline was exactly how we wanted it – she totally nailed it day of! We have been to many weddings, and we believed that food was one of the most important parts of our day. We were blown away by the quality (and quantity!) of food at the Riverhouse. At our tasting, my husband and I ranked the appetizer, salad and dinner choices. The rankings were so high, we had trouble narrowing it down! It’s been about 3 weeks, and our guests are still complementing our food and saying how beautiful the venue was. The mac and cheese bar has been a HUGE hit with our guests. On our wedding day, Holly and Loretta kept everything smooth and seamless and both ladies provided a calming atmosphere when things started to feel chaotic (shout out to Loretta for grabbing me tums!). It truly seemed as if all the staff at the Riverhouse enjoyed our wedding event as much as our guests did! The food service was outstanding and went right along with our timeline, our bartenders were flawless, and we totally spied a little bit of dancing going on to our music and we were absolutely overjoyed! We would like to thank everyone at the Riverhouse for making our day amazing! We hope to see you all again sometime soon!
