About this venue

Built in 1896 and renovated in 2020, our historical church is a fantastic venue for your weddings and events! The interior boasts 16 vintage pews, piano, pulpit, bathroom, two dressing rooms, and 10 double hung windows. Reception allowed with permission from the City. Food and alcohol not allowed.

Our beautiful Rainier Historical Church was built in 1896 by brothers Albert, Theodore, and Paul Gehrke and was originally used as a second school as well as a church. In 2007, it became the first of Rainier's historic structures listed on the Washington State Heritage Register. In 2020, the church underwent renovations to bring it back to much of its original glory. This amazing historical structure can now be the location of your wedding or other memorable events.

Alcohol consumption is prohibited in the church and on the grounds. Exemption to policy may be given at the express approval of the Clerk Treasurer.
There are two designated parking spots in front of the church. All other vehicles may park one block away in the parking lot on the corner of Rochester St. and Minnesota St. Street parking is prohibited for church use.
The church itself is wheelchair accessible through the main entrance ramp however the bathroom is not.
Reservations cancelled within 10 business days will only receive a 50% refund. In the case of an emergency or severe weather, we will refund in-full or reschedule.
