About this venue

Tucked between jungle and sea on the lush east side of the Big Island, our 3-acre botanical-style property blends rustic beauty with quiet elegance. This is not a resort—it’s a back-to-nature sanctuary for couples who feel most alive under the open sky and who embrace the wild rhythms of the land. With floor-to-ceiling windows, trees, butterflies, and ocean breezes, the space feels alive. We host up to 13 overnight guests (two-night minimum) and welcome daytime events from 9 AM–10 PM. We provide the land, a 22x16 open-air marquee, and a round wedding arch. Flowers, chairs, and food are up to the couple. As a working fruit farm powered by the sun and sustained by rainwater, we’re fully off-grid—ideal for couples who value sustainability, natural beauty, and the balance between the rugged and stunning. This is private property and our home, lovingly shared to spread connection, deep love, and reverence for the earth and each other.

The winter and holiday season in Hawaii is our busy season. It's generally November-March.
Our slowest months are June-Aug. This also tends to be a hottest and driest season.
Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own alcohol, though we kindly ask that consumption remain light and respectful, as this is generally a low- or non-alcohol environment.
Our starting rental fee is for the land and accommodations.
We require a two-night minimum. This ensure set-up and break-down time. For daily use our hours are 9am-10pm.
Booking fees for our facilities, and all payments made including deposits, are non-refundable. If you cancel your event within 40 days of your booked date, we’ll bill you the full amount of all estimated charges.
Our property is located 60 min from the Hilo airport. Kona airport is 2.5 hours distance.
Yes, you will need to provide your own insurance.
Weddings at Kūaloli take place rain or shine. The weather on the east side of the island can shift quickly, but that’s part of the magic. While we don’t offer rescheduling due to rain, we do have a covered 22x16 marquee and beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces to keep your celebration comfortable and memorable, whatever the weather.
