About this venue

Callicoon Hills is best suited for an entire weekend of wedding events. Greet your guests with an early evening cocktail and rehearsal reception on our porch overlooking activities on the lawn. Catch up over coffee or a morning mimosa. Experience nearby recreation, small towns, or just relax. Spend your evenings in the bar or by the fire pits. Then plan your Ceremony and Reception by making the Barn your own. Before you leave, spend the day by the pool to top off an unforgettable weekend. We typically host Barn events May thru October for up to 200 guests, although more may be accommodated with flexible seating arrangements. Our banquet room can hold up to 100 guests for a seated event all year round.

A blank space to create your ideal backdrop, be it a rustic, casual celebration, or a formal, sophisticated soirée

Our English Haypress Barn has recently been transported to Callicoon Hills from Indiana and dates back to 1859. Restored and full of history, it features hand hewn beams, a 40-foot ceiling, and an open cupola that lets in a flood of daylight or a starry night sky. Just off the Barn is a naturally landscaped path leading to our Ceremony Site on the edge of the seasonal creek. Attached to the Barn is a large deck for sunset cocktail hour that also steps down to a fire pit for evening gatherings.

If client prefers to supply specialty alcohol for events this must be approved by Hotel and a corkage fee may apply. All alcohol must be served by our staff, as required by NY State law.
Yes! We have free self-parking available for all guests.
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible.
Although Callicoon Hills is also insured, we do require that all clients purchase wedding liability insurance. Depending on your provider and the size of your wedding, wedding insurance will most likely cost $150-$225 total.
We love our wedding planners and the value that they add to us and to you on your wedding day. We do require that each couple hire a wedding planner from our approved list, however, it is up to you to decide if you want to hire a full time planner, or just a day-of coordinator.
Yes we are! We know that many of our couples consider their pets to be a part of their new family and we want to ensure they can be included in the event. Pets are allowed in any of our guests rooms, excluding the Boarding House. We do have a one-time pet fee for rooms occupied by a furry friend.
At max capacity, we can fit 156 heads in our beds.
The average range for our standard hotel rooms sweep between $229 - $299, and vary by season. Upgraded room types will be priced accordingly.
Music in the barn must end by 10:45PM, however, you can continue to play music at your afterparty inside our Banquet Hall until the end of your after party. In our outdoor spaces, after 7PM and as late as 10PM, we allow unplugged musicians, or a light playlist.
In the event that it rains on your wedding day, we will move the ceremony to the Banquet Hall, in the Boarding House and provide umbrella’s to transport guests over to the Barn for the reception. If you wedding is more than 150 people, we suggest that you rent a back-up tent in case of poor weather.
