Nestled on the east bench of Draper, Cactus & Tropicals is a premier retail nursery by day that transforms into a lush, botanical paradise for private evening events. Built in 2006, this contemporary venue features architectural arching ceilings, towering glass walls, and an abundance of exotic plants, orchids, and vibrant tropical foliage that bloom year-round.

The Midvale Greenhouse is the newest addition to the Cactus & Tropicals family.

The Midvale Greenhouse is the newest addition to the Cactus & Tropicals family. Located right on Main Street in the heart of historic downtown Midvale, this space offers a uniquely different vibe than the Millcreek or Draper locations by seamlessly blending rich Utah history with their signature lush, botanical aesthetic.

Salt Lake greenhouse

Built in 1978, our Salt Lake City greenhouse is the perfect space for intimate events in a quaint and magical greenhouse complete with bubbling fountains and winding paths.

The Salt Lake City location is the original flagship greenhouse for Cactus & Tropicals. Located in the Millcreek area (2735 S 2000 E), it was built in 1978 and is known for its distinctly quaint, magical, and intimate "secret garden" aesthetic compared to the more modern Draper build.

Built in 2006, our Draper greenhouse is the perfect space for garden events in a contemporary greenhouse complete with arching ceilings and botanical displays.

Inside, you will be surrounded by exotic plants and carefully curated decor. Outside, you and your guests can enjoy expansive valley views from our deck complete with gas fire pit, outdoor gazebos, and seasonal plant selections. To help you host a night to remember, Cactus & Tropicals offers a dedicated event planner for your special celebration. Our qualified professional will meet with you to ensure that your event runs seamlessly from beginning to end. We have an open vendor policy, allowing you to choose your favorite local caterers, photographers and more.

Because it is an active retail nursery by day, events are strictly hosted in the evenings. Monday–Saturday events run from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM(Midvale), and Sunday events run from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM(Midvale).
The wedding party and vendors are typically granted access starting at 5:30 PM to begin setting up food, personal decor, or sound systems before the event officially begins.
Yes, but time slots must be coordinated with your event manager around the nursery's retail hours.
No. Cactus & Tropicals has an open vendor policy. You are free to hire any caterer you love, or you are completely permitted to self-cater (bring your own food). They provide a large, accessible kitchen preparation area for staging.
