About this venue

Artspace is home to 30 artist studios, 3 rotating gallery spaces, classes for youth and adults - and is an unforgettable venue for your wedding. Located in the historic cobble-stone lined streets of City Market, the building was originally constructed in 1911 as the City of Raleigh's livery stables. In the 1950s it became the Ford Sander's Auto Dealership. Artspace renovated the building in 1986 to be an innovative hub for creative expression in the heart of our state's capital. Today, Artspace welcomes 30,000 visitors annually through First Friday art walks, Family Days, Summer Art Camps and more. By booking your wedding at Artspace, you support our non-profit mission to inspire positive community impact through art.

Our event spaces

Gallery 2

A creative, historic space in the heart of Raleigh.

GALLERY 2 is located on the 2nd floor and is accessible by elevator and stairs. The room has a separate preparation area with a refrigerator and sink. At most times of the year, an art exhibition will be on display on the walls of Gallery 2. Our wide corridor outside Gallery 2 may also be used with prior approval.

Gallery 1

A creative, historic space in the heart of Raleigh.

GALLERY 1 is our largest space, including the Lobby, Gallery 1, and Upfront Gallery. This space is located on the 1st floor, accommodates up to 150 people standing or 75 seated, and is perfect for fundraisers, networking events, cocktail parties, receptions, and small weddings. The unique venue has a vaulted ceiling and is full of artwork.
