We’re a husband-and-wife team who believe weddings should feel like you — not a production, not a checklist, and definitely not something you’re “supposed” to do. Our story started in Wisconsin, took us to Arizona for a new chapter, and eventually brought us all the way to Mexico, where we now live our dream helping couples create intentional, joy-filled celebrations. We said “I do” at Lambeau Field — a moment that sparked our love for destination weddings and set us on the path we’re on today.

    Sarah and Alden at Vacay Mode Travels. I can’t recommend them enough!! I stumbled upon them while trying to attempt this on my own and they saved me so much time and money!! From the jump we had a meeting to discuss our wants/desires/location/time of year/guest count - and narrowed down to our three choices of resorts. We decided to pick Majestic SIGHT UNSEEN (not like me AT ALL). But because they had had other couples get married here it settled all my fears. I never once coordinated with the wedding department myself, Sarah tackled all of that for me. About once month we had meetings to discuss (to do list, what needed to be done that month (ie: save the dates, head count with guest booking, changing room block count, excursion booking, honeymoon booking, guest transportation, suggestion on external vendors, reminders about vendor fees) THEY DID IT ALL. They saved us so much money with how we did the room block and navigated booking ALL of our guest, tracking head count, transportations. I have seen so many brides in this group posting about hidden fees, I had NONE. No surprises or anything come payment. BOOK THEM I promise it will be the best decision if you are freshly planning a destination wedding and feel lost.

    We had the pleasure of working with Sarah and Alden from Vacay Mode Travels to plan our destination wedding, and the experience truly exceeded all expectations. From the very beginning, their communication was exceptional—prompt, professional, and consistently proactive in coordinating with resorts, vendors, and us directly.   In addition to handling all travel arrangements for us and our guests, they provided hands-on support for the wedding day itself, something that we cannot recommend enough. They addressed and resolved potential issues behind the scenes, without ever needing to involve or stress us, allowing us to be fully present and enjoy every moment with each other. We even felt so comfortable that we asked Sarah to be our officiant only a couple months before our date. Of course she hit this out of the park as expected, as she carefully planned and wonderfully executed the role.  As a Type A bride and a groom who is highly analytical, we had high standards when it came to planning. Sarah and Alden were the perfect match for us! They carefully adhered to our budget and preferences throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, they didn’t stop searching until they found a resort that met every one of our expectations in which we outlined. Their bilingual fluency in English and Spanish also made a significant impact. With our wedding taking place in Mexico, their ability to communicate clearly with both the resort staff and our vendors ensured that nothing was lost in translation and that our vision was fully understood and executed. What truly sets Sarah and Alden apart is their certification in destination wedding planning, which goes far beyond the role of a traditional travel agent. Their specialized expertise gave them the tools to design and execute one of the most beautiful, seamless, and memorable days of our lives. This is not to mention that there was never any hesitation for them to jump in and get their hands dirty, when we needed to push for answers or clarity. Sarah and Alden always went above and beyond, and we cannot say enough good things about them and the service they provided. We are deeply grateful for Sarah and Alden’s dedication, professionalism, and care from start to finish. We wholeheartedly recommend Vacay Mode Travels to any couple planning a destination wedding, as we are confident that you will be in the best hands!

    Sarah and Alden were absolutely wonderful. From our first meeting I knew they were the right choice for us in planning our destination wedding. They listened to what our vision was and made it come to life. Our biggest wants were blue waters with a nice beach and a more intimate ceremony with our family and friends. Within days they had multiple resorts that fit exactly what we wanted. After choosing the venue the planning began. Sarah and Alden met with us often and were readily available for questions anytime they popped up. The planning process was seamless. They took care of all of the details over the year we were in contact so that the last month was just reviewing what we had previously discussed. This made it feel not so stressful and truly not so daunting. My wedding day was perfect, it was a dream come true. We can’t thank Sarah and Alden enough!

    Sarah and Alden were absolutely amazing throughout our wedding planning process. From the moment we met from our first meeting we knew they would help guide us in the right direction. Please read this review if you’re in the fence with hiring a wedding coordinator/travel agent, it was the best decision we made. First helping narrowing which resort was best for us (showing PowerPoints of different resort options) always keeping our top priorities in mind. We talked over our aesthetics, location, peak season, cost to us, cost to our guest! All of our wants and needs were carefully sorted through the thousands of resorts and also considering which resort had a reliable wedding department! we tried this on our own but once we met Sarah and Alden we knew they knew so much about the industry and we didn’t and after the first meeting hired them. From that point forward we would meet for zoom meetings to help us decided what was a priority that month and target deadlines for forms, vendors, and information. Then once we chose our resort they helped coordinate directly with the wedding department (I never once emailed the wedding department) Sarah helped take care of all of that! Then helping direct us with venders that they vet in advance to help us have the best people on our team. They saved us so much money with the fine print and details of room block contracts that I would have been clueless on without them. On top of all the wedding assistance they also navigated booking all our guest, keeping track of head count, cancels, my families twenty questions, and transport! This was a life saver having them to direct my family to! When we finally had the meeting 3 weeks out from the wedding with the wedding department even the resort coordinator was impressed at how organized we were and everything was fully ready to go. Sarah was a huge help with making sure I stayed on track each month! Then the wedding week/day came and it all went off with a bang! Everyone was on time, all details were perfect and there was hardly any flaws. On top of wedding planning they also helped book our boat day excursion! They even helped us cancel one that didn’t have everything we wanted and found us a better company and price. This ended up being the best day of the trip and so glad we did it! Lastly, they also helped coordinate booking our honeymoon, transport, and excursions! This was so nice to just be hands off for once and have someone help us with all the planning! Once we got there we had a sweet note from them with flowers across our entire bed! So sweet. Hands down I would book them a thousand times over again!! They are an amazing couple and truly cares about your wedding day and makes you feel heard and seen the whole way.
