Hi, I’m Bethanie Hicks, the heart behind That Wedding Planner. My love for weddings began long before this became my career — as a teenager trailing behind my mom, who was always planning or helping with events. I grew up watching the joy, the nerves, the beauty, and the behind-the-scenes work that makes a celebration come together. In 2022, I officially launched this business with one simple mission: "We create wedding days where couples can cherish their love, be present with each other, and bring their dream wedding to life in a way that feels authentic and attainable."

I’ve seen too many couples spend their wedding day caught up in timelines, vendors, and everyone else’s expectations, instead of fully enjoying the moments that matter most. That’s why I started That Wedding Planner — to help couples feel completely supported, present, and at ease on their big day. I take care of all the logistics so you don’t have to think about them. That doesn’t just mean schedules and vendors — it means protecting the moments that matter, advocating for your choices, and making sure the day flows naturally. You’re free to focus on each other, your loved ones, and the joy of the celebration.

    Great day of coordinator!

    Working with That Wedding Planner was exactly what we needed for our big day. From start to finish, they were kind and clear about every detail, which made planning feel less stressful. What really stood out was how much they listened to what we wanted and actually delivered it. Behind the scenes, they kept us on schedule and answered all of our questions without making us feel rushed.     Couldn’t Have Done It Without Them

    From start to finish, working with That Wedding Planner made our wedding planning so much less stressful. Bethanie is a calming presence during what can be a chaotic time, and she never batted an eye when we changed our minds.. more times than we'd like to say, she just rolled with it and helped us figure things out. Beyond the typical planning stuff like logistics and decor, she became our advocate, stepping in whenever we felt uncomfortable and always having our backs. Her clear communication and understanding approach meant we felt supported at every turn.     Wedding Day on 10-25-2025

    Bethanie made sure throughout the wedding planning process that mine and my now husbands questions and concerns were always answered during our calls. She made us feel at ease and excited for our big day to arrive. When the wedding day finally arrived she was walking around double checking on everyone and seeing if anyone needed anything. She kept us on track and even told us when we were early based on the timeline we made so we could have a few minutes as just husband and wife before the day continued on. She was switching out our food throughout the night, made sure everyone was in their places for reception entrances, to the fake grand exit we did. She was truly a saving grace and the best addition to our wedding!! If you're looking for someone who is always done to schedule a video call, ease your never ending worries and ideas.     Bethanie was truly the heart and calm of our wedding day. From the moment the day began, she was my constant reassurance — always there with a smile, keeping me grounded and calm while gracefully coordinating all the chaos happening around us. She radiates positivity and kindness, creating an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and cared for. What stood out most was how willing she was to do absolutely anything and everything to make sure we could fully soak up and enjoy every moment of our day. She was always one step ahead, quietly keeping everything and everyone aligned so that all we had to do was be present and take it all in. Bethanie isn’t just an incredible coordinator — she’s the kind of person who makes your day feel effortless and full of joy. I can’t imagine our wedding without her.

No. We dedicate our time to one couple on a date! We want to ensure our focus is completely on our couple on their big day and have every detail down just for them!
Every couple has different needs, but we are always here to customize our packages to fit each couple! Our consultations are absolutely free and we’d love the chance to talk with you about your big day!
Just send us a quick note from the contact us section on the bottom of the main page and tell us which package you are interested in! We typically respond within the day, but sometimes during the peak seasons it might take us 24hrs to get back to you!
That Wedding Planner has a unique team of Planners and Assistants that create a well-rounded experienced group of planners! Everything from event planning, musicians, Bridal shop consultants, catering and serving, and much more! We have it covered! We pull our unique backgrounds to provide you quality and seamless service!
That Wedding Planner serves a large portion of Indiana! From North-Vernon to Syracuse and everywhere in between! We have no problem traveling to you! We do charge a travel fee for anything outside of 60miles from Greenwood, IN. This just ensures that we can cover expenses and ensure we are well rested for your Big Day!
