Hire the BEST planner in the business!!

We were blessed to have Pooja help plan and execute our incredible wedding reception at Viansa Winery in Sonoma Valley. It’s taken us a while to write this review because we found it so hard to put into words just how much we appreciate her. However confident this review makes you feel about Pooja’s abilities to plan your event, multiply it by 10! From the very first call with Pooja, we knew she was the right fit for us! My husband and I are both solidly type A, so we wanted to have a say in almost all of the details of the event. At the same time, we wanted someone we could trust to execute our vision, and make decisions on our behalf. Pooja showed an exceptional ability to balance listening to and advocating for our needs and wants, and to take lead when we asked her to. There were many times when we’d be paralyzed by choices such as what dinner linens to go with—all we had to do was ask her for decide for us, and each and every time she would choose efficiently and tastefully. Whether you are picky or simply want someone to take the reins, Pooja can do both and everything between. It’s the little ways that Pooja stretches past her job description that make her exceptional. More than a planner, she was an invaluable design resource—whether it was a mock up of a table scape or a Canva collage, these visualizations made it so much easier to see what our ideas would look like in real life. She also eagerly ran errands for us, such as picking up a vintage photo frame from Facebook Marketplace on short notice. Coordinating many vendors can be hard, especially when some want to maintain creative control and autonomy. Pooja approached every interaction with our vendors with kindness and respect for what they do. Rather than coming in hot and calling the shots, she builds real relationships with vendors and creates a shared purpose of executing the couple’s vision. We observed this firsthand, especially with vendors who were harder to communicate with—at the end of the day, Pooja got them on board, and it showed through the event’s success. Pooja fully lifted the stress off our shoulders, which is what we really wanted at the end of the day. Every weekly call with Pooja would dispel the constant stream of questions and concerns we had. And on the big day, my husband and I were able to be fully present and enjoy ourselves, knowing that Pooja had everything running like a well-oiled machine (she certainly made sure we saw none of the mess)! All of our guests had an amazing time and said we set the bar very high—100% made possible thanks to Pooja! We were only looking for a planner, but in the end we found a real friend :) If you’re considering Pooja as your event planner, lock her in right now as we’re pretty sure she’s going to go big—you won’t regret it!

Planned my 300 person wedding in 4 months!

If you're considering working with Eventful by Pooja for your wedding or event, let this be the reassurance you need My now-husband and I only had four months to plan our 300-person, two-day, traditional South Indian wedding. As both of us work full-time and I was enrolled in a part-time masters program, wedding planning on top seemed incredibly daunting. After two weeks of chaos calling venues and hearing nothing back, we decided to hire a wedding planner/coordinator and happened upon Pooja's page. I personally knew she was the right fit from our very first meeting She asked thoughtful questions about our vision, eased our concerns, and was so warm and reassuring from the start. Over the four months of the full planning service, Pooja truly became an extension of our family. Through all the strict ritual timelines and ceremony logistics, she handled everything with patience, creativity, and so much kindness. Whether it was early morning idea brainstorming or late-night bouts of stress (wedding-related or not), she was always there like a calm, trusted friend. It is now two weeks after the wedding, and relatives and friends are STILL reaching out to tell us how flawlessly the entire weekend went and to specifically extend their gratitude to Pooja & her team for how smoothly everything went. Because of her, we were able to be fully present and focus on the emotions of getting married while Pooja handled the countless logistics behind the scenes. FYI - the rituals on our wedding day from start to finish took about 10-11 hours...and Pooja was on top of everything the whole time Beyond being an incredible planner, Pooja is just a genuinely wonderful, down to earth person. At the end of these four months, she honestly didn't feel like a vendor at all but more like a close friend. I cannot recommend Pooja enough. If you're lucky enough to have her as your wedding planner, you will not only have an incredible event but you'll gain a friend who genuinely cares about making your event as special as possible.

    Highly recommend

If you value peace of mind, genuine care, and unwavering reliability, Pooja is the planner you want by your side. We hired her for our wedding and from the very first email she sent us, I could tell she had our backs and was on top of it. And throughout every weekly meeting, she continued to prove that she was fully invested, incredibly organized, and two steps ahead of every detail. Pooja didn't just manage our wedding; she protected our joy. She took on every moving part so we could simply be present, and because of her, I didn't worry about a single thing on my wedding day. I was calm, grounded, and able to soak in every moment, something I've heard is incredibly rare for a bride, lol. What moved us even more were the reactions from our guests. COUNTLESS people came up to us saying things like, "this was such a smooth day," "The day was so organized," and "well done!" These comments were completely unsolicited, and every single one I attribute to Pooja's planning and execution skills. And just to add perspective... we had two ceremonies and a reception in ONE DAY. It was a very tight timeline with many vendors, and off-site transportation for one of the ceremonies. Pooja and her team handled it all with such confidence, calm and organization. Pooja didn't just plan our wedding; she helped create the most peaceful, meaningful, joy-filled day of our lives. We will always be grateful to her for making our wedding unforgettable.

Eventful by Pooja was the best decisions we made.

Eventful by Pooja was one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. My husband and I got married in May 2024 and we had around 400 guests. The idea of coordinating an event for that many people was daunting. We wanted to ensure that our guests had a great time but that we also remained on schedule and that we allowed for plenty of time for dancing. Despite being a "Day-of Coordinator", Pooja's engagement with us really started about 1 month before the wedding. I created a general outline for the event timeline and luckily Pooja went back and really fine tuned and added another level of detail that we needed. Pooja met with all of our vendors ahead of time to ensure that everyone was one the same page too. When it came to the event hall load-in the day before the wedding, Pooja met with our catering director to ensure all of our decorations were in place and went over dinner service. She then helped with the rehearsal at the church as well. The day of the wedding, Pooja made sure that communications between our vendors and Maid of Honor and Best Man and herself were seamless leaving my husband and I to really just enjoy the day. Our timing was impeccable and everything went according to plan. We had a traditional church wedding where our ceremony started at 1pm and the reception started at 5:30pm at a different location. Pooja set up the decorations at the church ahead of the ceremony and post ceremony headed to the hall to coordinate set up with our vendors and do table placement of accent decorations. When we arrived to the hall everything was beautiful and we were able to take photos in the reception space. We got through cocktail hour, the bridal party entrance grand entrance, prayer, dinner service, 5 speeches, father-daughter/ mother-daughter/ mother-son dances, bouquet/ garter toss and cake cutting by 9pm -- which gave us 3 solid hours of straight partying/ dancing. For most brides, the months leading up to the wedding can be extremely stressful. There are so many decisions to be made that it can be overwhelming. Hiring Pooja was an easy decision though. She was so kind and patient from start to finish. Our other vendors also complimented her professionalism and ability to partner with them as well. Thinking back on the day, I can honestly say I was not stressed out at all because I could trust that everything was going to go according to plan as Pooja outlined. For any brides out there, I cannot recommend Pooja enough!

Hands Down - The Best Decision We Ever Made!

I cannot recommend Pooja enough! She planned our post-elopement celebration, and everything went so smoothly, it truly exceeded our expectations. From the very beginning, she was professional, organized, and so easy to work with. She really took the time to understand our vision, and the décor she put together was absolutely beautiful, it matched our overall theme perfectly and felt so us. Pooja handled every detail with care, making the entire process completely stress-free for us. Her communication was always clear and timely, and we felt supported every step of the way. Our guests had an amazing time, and we were able to just relax and enjoy every moment thanks to her. If you're looking for someone who’s warm, organized, incredibly intuitive, and will treat your celebration like it matters deeply, hire Pooja. She’s magic!

Not at all. I specialize in multicultural weddings—interfaith, multiracial, and everything in between. Many of my couples come from different cultural or religious backgrounds and want a wedding that feels cohesive, meaningful, and true to who they are. Whether you’re blending traditions or creating something entirely new, I’ll help you bring it together in a way that feels seamless and personal.
I’m based in Sacramento and serve couples throughout Northern California—including the Bay Area, Napa, Sonoma, and beyond. I also take on a limited number of destination weddings each year for full-service clients. Whether you're planning a celebration close to home or across the globe, I’m happy to travel wherever your story takes you.
Yes! I take on a limited number of full-service multicultural weddings each year, and I also offer month-of wedding coordination for couples across Northern California, including Sacramento, San Francisco, Napa, and the greater Bay Area. If you're not sure what level of support is right for you, I’ll help you figure out the best fit based on your needs, timeline, and vision.
For full-service planning, most couples book 12–18 months in advance—especially if you're aiming for a popular venue or peak season. For month-of coordination, 6–9 months out is ideal. That said, if your wedding is sooner and you think we’re a good fit, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Definitely. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we start. Many of my couples are busy professionals, navigating family dynamics or cultural layers, and aren’t sure where to begin. My role is to help you get clear on what matters most and guide you through the process with care and intention.
Yes—always. I believe love is love and every couple deserves to be celebrated with respect, care, and joy. My planning process is inclusive, affirming, and grounded in kindness.
Supportive, organized, collaborative—and deeply personal. I’m calm under pressure, clear in communication, and fully committed to making sure your wedding feels like a reflection of you. I cap the number of weddings I take each year so I can give every client the focus and presence they deserve.
Yes…but not in the way you might think. What most couples call “day-of coordination” actually starts weeks before the wedding. Without that prep time, too many details can slip through the cracks. A coordinator ensures everything runs smoothly, so you can actually enjoy your day instead of managing logistics.
“Day-of” is often misunderstood…it implies someone shows up only on the wedding day. In reality, effective coordination starts at least 4–8 weeks prior. Month-of coordination includes vendor communication, timeline creation, final walkthroughs, and all the groundwork necessary for seamless execution.
I recommend booking at least 6–12 months in advance, especially for high-demand dates in San Francisco, Napa, and Sonoma. While my services begin 2 months prior to the wedding, securing your spot early ensures you’re on my calendar and have peace of mind.
