I'm Emily, the Owner and Lead Planner behind the scenes, crafting unforgettable moments. My journey began with a degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Go Rebels! In Las Vegas I worked for a destination management company that taught me so much about the industry. From event management, to florals & signage design, custom builds, how to create transportation manifests, execute dine-arounds, oversee entertainment and so much more! In 2020 I moved to Northern Nevada and fell in love with wedding planning. My passion for wedding planning comes from connecting with couples behind the scenes and bringing their dream day to life.

We focus on creating memories. Spomini! Meaning memories in Slovenia is Inspired by my heritage, we keep this Slovenian word close to our hearts with every event we plan. To us, events are more than just logistics; they're opportunities to craft unforgettable experiences, weaving in moments that resonate long after the last guest has departed. Since 2016, we’ve been planning large-scale events from weddings for Olympic athletes to corporate gatherings for over 40,000 attendees, we’ve seen and planned it all. After years of learning from the best - I am so excited to launch Emily Taft Events in 2024!

    We truly could not have pulled off our wedding without Emily. She helped us for 3 months before our wedding and the day of, and I felt so at ease that everything was not only being handled, but she handled everything professionally, promptly, and is so knowledgeable in event planning. From our larger-than-expected guest count to difficult-to-manage vendors, Emily crushed it at every turn. We were so happy we had Emily to guide us through the planning process, and without her, our day wouldn't have been as perfect as it was.

    Emily and her team were truly the backbone of our wedding! She handled tough family dynamics beautifully, and she let us (bride and groom) enjoy our day drama free. Emily was professional, communicative, and incredibly organized. We could not have asked for a better experience!     We were one of the hesitant couples to get a planner because we had family who were 'willing' to help set up/take down, coordinate, etc for the wedding, but as soon as we booked her we realized there is SO MUCH more that goes into this service. I don't think that I would have survived being a bride without her! I would seriously say that a planner (and Emily specifically) was our most valued vendor and just the most genuine person. Not only is Emily easy to work with, but she is calm, organized, and extremely on top of things. She advocated for us in every situation and planning meeting, saved us money in our budget, and made our actual wedding day at Tannenbaum Events Center go so seamlessly. At the end of the night our bridal party and family commented multiple times about how well she and her team executed every detail! We booked her "Wedding Management- Day of Coordination Package" which she customized to fit our needs, and detailed all tasks in the contract for us. But she really went above and beyond in so many ways. She and her team set up our decor so beautifully, managed guests while we did early bridal photos etc, managed all our vendors, and made sure the timeline was detailed, comprehensive, and adhered-to on the day. We had polaroid cameras at the wedding, and at the end of the night found that her team took many of us and guests during the whole event, and were so happy to look through some of the iPhone behind the scenes photos that she took and sent to use the same night. Grateful does not describe how much love we have for Emily and her team. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

    Emily truly made our wedding planning process exciting and as stress free as possible. I can't say enough how much we appreciate her. She went above and beyond throughout the whole process from our first phone call to the clean up the night of our wedding. We were so grateful she came with us to a venue tour; she and Rusty were asking questions we wouldn't have even thought of. Having her there gave us peace of mind and trust that they would have us taken care of throughout the planning and the day of. She worked closely with our venue coordinator and our other venders to make sure every detail was thought out and discussed. I am very much a type A personality and like to have control over planning things, especially when it comes to something as important as our wedding. I had no problem or hesitation letting go and trusting Emily entirely throughout all of the details and day of. She allowed us both to enjoy the planning of and most importantly, the day of our wedding. She and her team did an amazing job with set up and execution of the timeline and details we spend months planning. I can't recommend Emily Taft Events enough for your wedding or event.
