I'm Emily, the Owner and Lead Planner behind the scenes, crafting unforgettable moments. My journey began with a degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Go Rebels! In Las Vegas I worked for a destination management company that taught me so much about the industry. From event management, to florals & signage design, custom builds, how to create transportation manifests, execute dine-arounds, oversee entertainment and so much more! In 2020 I moved to Northern Nevada and fell in love with wedding planning. My passion for wedding planning comes from connecting with couples behind the scenes and bringing their dream day to life.

We focus on creating memories. Spomini! Meaning memories in Slovenia is Inspired by my heritage, we keep this Slovenian word close to our hearts with every event we plan. To us, events are more than just logistics; they're opportunities to craft unforgettable experiences, weaving in moments that resonate long after the last guest has departed. Since 2016, we’ve been planning large-scale events from weddings for Olympic athletes to corporate gatherings for over 40,000 attendees, we’ve seen and planned it all. After years of learning from the best - I am so excited to launch Emily Taft Events in 2024!

    I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience working with Emily on my engagement party. Planning an event from another country could have been a total nightmare, but she made it completely seamless. Emily just handled everything — from the little quirks that popped up during planning to the inevitable curveballs on the actual day — with such ease and confidence. Having her and her team there on the day made all the difference. I didn’t have to worry about a thing and was able to actually enjoy myself, which is rare when you’re the host! At one point there was even a minor medical situation with a guest, and Emily took charge so calmly and efficiently that it never turned into a drama — everyone was fine, and most people probably didn’t even realize it happened. She’s amazing at what she does, and I’d hire her again in a heartbeat.

    We truly could not have pulled off our wedding without Emily. She helped us for 3 months before our wedding and the day of, and I felt so at ease that everything was not only being handled, but she handled everything professionally, promptly, and is so knowledgeable in event planning. From our larger-than-expected guest count to difficult-to-manage vendors, Emily crushed it at every turn. We were so happy we had Emily to guide us through the planning process, and without her, our day wouldn't have been as perfect as it was.
