Everything I start to type sounds cliche'..... but true....I love people, and I love helping everyone plan the day of their dreams and through years of experience have learned what it takes and how to pivot if the ocassion arises. At the end of the day I want you as the couple to remember your day, I don't want you to feel rushed from one thing to the next but to be fully immersed in the experience of taking it all in. This is a party like none you will ever be a part of again in quite the same way and I am here to help you have the best expereince possible.

Description

We customize wedding day management packages to the needs of each couple. Our basic package works for many couples, having us arrive about 2 hours prior to the guests to help with personal decor, direct vendors, welcome your guests, que the ceremony, invite guests to cocktail hour and manage your timeline through cake cutting or dessert.

We appreciate that just because your guest list is smaller and more intimate the details still matter. We offer to assist with all the important items both big and small. This package pricing is for weddings under 50 guests, taking place in New London, Windham or Tolland Counties. Upcharges are incurred for other locations outside our service area.

Need an experinced confidant to listen to your ideas and guide you, that's an option when you choose a la carte. Hire us for an hour or for many hours with no other obligation.

Use our expereince and guidance as you plan. We provide referrals to the professionals in each category we know will provide excellent service and the very best experience. You do the research but we are the guiding light. Most of our partial planning clients include Wedding Day Management to ensure all the plans come together smoothly.

    Debbie was truly so amazing to work with! She made everything feel so easy and she acted as a calming sense for myself! The level of communication and help during the planning and beginning stages of wedding planning were such a tremendous help to making my wedding perfect.     Officant was amazing

    Debra was absolutely amazing. From the beginning out of conversations up until the wedding. Me and my husband didn’t really know what to write for our vows but Debra had us covered. She made me special day very memorable. Thank you so much Debra!

    AMAZING

    Words can’t describe how incredibly grateful I am to have hired Debbie to be my coordinator. Not only is she professional but she is SO personable. She was able to help me with things throughout the process of planning that I was unsure of. She’s worked at the venue previously so she had knowledge of the venue and the people at the venue! On our wedding day, she was attentive, and I didn’t even know what was going on during the day bc I was able to just relax and hang out with my girls and get ready. She kept us on time for things, and noticed when cocktail hour was winding down earlier to start the dinner buffet sooner. She cleaned up post reception quickly and still left everything organized in the boxes I had provided for her. Honestly cannot recommend hiring DWP events enough. Do it, you will not regret it!!! :)

    Brit and Alex, you guys were such a joy to work with. Everyone knows in their head that weddings never go 100% perfect, but when there is a hiccup on the actual day your heart jumps out of your chest and most couples are like WTF!!! NOT you two, you rolled with anything that came up and didn't let it affect the joy of this most important day. Your hopes, dreams and plans all came true beautifully and I was so thrilled to be a part of it all.     Incredible

    Debbie was fantastic to work with! Extremely responsive throughout my planning if I had any questions. On the day of our wedding she ran around ensuring everything came together and made sure we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We cannot recommend her enough. If you’re looking for a planner/day of coordinator for your day, look no further. Debbie is the ONLY choice. Debbie was also our officiant and planned a beautiful ceremony that was just perfect for us. We cant thank you enough for all your care, attention to detail and overall kindness.     Absolutely wonderful

    We cannot recommend DWP enough! We used DWP for our 10/19/2024 wedding at Falls Creek Farm, both Debbie & one her coordinators Kristen were a crucial part in our big day! From helping me plan and make decisions on final arrangements leading up to our big day to making sure everything ran as smoothly as possible, and being a major source of help to keep everything running smoothly, Debbie & Kristin went above and beyond for us. If you are looking for a day of coordinator for your wedding or event who are attentive, caring, have your best interest in mind and truly want to make your event as perfect as possible this is your team!

Great question. I currently have 4 assistants that work with me regularly that can take on the details if something were to happen that I could not be there. I would introduce the replacement to you if time allows and share your file with them so they can pick up right where we left off. Happy to say though, that I have never yet had to miss a wedding.
Rarely, almost never. Ocassionally a change in someone's booking may cause us to double book on one day. Maybe once a season this situation comes up and we assign one of our strong lead coordinators to take on one of the weddings while I am coordinating the other. You will continue to work with me on your details and timeline and if I can attend your rehearsal I will be there. You can feel confident that we will provide the very best expereince possible.
The venue coordinator's responsibility is limited to the venue itself. They usually don't handle the broader logistics like managing vendors, directing the ceremony, or ensuring the wedding timeline flows from start to finish. Their main focus is the venue's operations, not the couple's entire event. Although their roles may seem similar, they are actually distinct and handle different aspects of the day. The couple isn't paying twice for the same service — they are investing in two professionals who bring different skills to the table, ensuring the best possible outcome for their wedding day.
While a wedding coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of the day, there are certain tasks that should not fall on their shoulders, as they might interfere with their primary responsibilities or go beyond the scope of their role. We would not "step on the toes" of other vendors, although we are happy to support them we would not serve food or beverages, run any sound equipment or make announcements, direct any photgraphy other than gathering guests that may be needed for a shot list, move tables & chairs or ceremony benches. Steaming wedding dresses and moving gift cards are also out of scope traditionally.
