Hi! I’m April, Founder & Lead Coordinator of Chrysalis Memories. 😊 I believe life’s biggest moments deserve to feel meaningful, personal, and beautifully celebrated. My journey in weddings and events began in 2010 as an intern with an established event-planning company. After a decade learning the craft and three years working professionally, I bring 15 years of industry experience to every celebration. I’m a hopeless romantic, creative at heart, and detail-loving planner who genuinely cares about people. My goal is to handle the details behind the scenes so you can relax, feel supported, and be fully present for the moments that matter most. My approach is warm, organized, personal, and flexible when plans change. 💕✨

💕 Why Weddings? Because every couple has a story. I love watching all of the little moments that happen throughout a wedding day—the happy tears, nervous smiles, laughter with family and friends, and the excitement of starting a new chapter together. Being trusted with such an important day is something I’ll never take for granted. For me, it’s about more than timelines and logistics.     Highly Recommend April!

    I got married 8/22/26 and April was absolutely amazing! I booked her about 1.5-2 months before the wedding and she went above and beyond every step of the way. She came to our final venue walkthrough, communicated final timelines and expectations with our vendors, picked up the decor and cake the day before the wedding and dropped it back off at our house the day after, and set up and coordinated the day of the wedding. She made the day stress free and allowed us to enjoy ourselves instead of worrying about getting everything ready. We highly recommend April and her team!

    Beautiful baby shower for my son!

    I had the pleasure of having April plan my baby shower, and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful experience. Every detail was thoughtfully put together, and the decorations were absolutely stunning. The event was organized perfectly, and you could see the love and effort April put into making the day special. I am so grateful for her hard work, creativity, and dedication. She truly helped create memories that I will cherish forever!

    When my daughter and son-in-law gave me a birthday party for a milestone birthday April was a huge help. She organized, bought favors, help design the layout of the table decorations. Also, April was responsible for setting up the event (between snows) and helped with the cleanup. During the party she was there to make sure the food hadn't run out and everything stayed organized. There were many great memories from this party and April was responsible for most of them. I was very pleased with the result and I will have April Johnson organize the next big party we have.

    April is awesome

    April is the number one reason why the big party I was throwing was a huge success! It was even better than I could have imagined. While planning April had a lot of great ideas that made the party that more interactive and fun.Everyone had a super time.April and her team took care of every detail.
