A Coordinator Should Reduce Stress,Not Add to It
I have never left a bad review before, but after my wedding, so many people encouraged me to share my experience that I felt it was important to do so. Unfortunately, our experience with this coordinator was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, there were multiple details that were forgotten or mishandled, but we remained hopeful that everything would come together on the wedding day. Sadly, it did not. Our wedding was outdoors, and despite knowing this in advance, the coordination team spent much of the day complaining about the heat and repeatedly mentioning that they do not work outside. Their attitude was noticeable not only to us but also to members of our wedding party and guests. Several important details were missed. Our seating chart was set up incorrectly, DIY items that I spent countless hours creating were never placed out, and games we purchased for cocktail hour were never put out for guests to enjoy. At one point, the coordinators informed us that they were taking a 45-minute break during the wedding, which was shocking considering everything that still needed attention. (My others vendor took a break too, this is normal, but when she told us she was taking a break, she just had a really bad attitude towards my husband and I) The timeline provided contributed to me not being ready on time, causing me to miss out on portrait photos I had specifically planned for. Instead of feeling supported and guided through the day, I often felt stressed, overwhelmed, and unsure of what was happening. The purpose of hiring a coordinator is to reduce stress and ensure details are executed properly. Unfortunately, our experience was the opposite. I was expecting professional coordination and support, and I did not receive the level of service that was promised. I am incredibly grateful that our family, friends, vendors, and wedding party stepped in to help make the day successful despite these challenges. However, I cannot honestly recommend this coordination service based on my experience.

Amazing!
Athena Events Co. was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication style was efficient, clear, helpful, and focused, making the planning process so much simpler! The quality of their work and the value they provided was incredible - they were diligent and effective in planning every detail and coordinating with all of our vendors. Athena Events Co. took care of everything, allowing us to simply enjoy our special day without any stress or hassle. We are so grateful for their incredible service and highly recommend them to any couple planning their wedding!

All around amazing!
All I can say is wow! Kya is truly an amazing person to not just work with but get to know! I worked as a photographer for a shoot she held and she was on the ball! She had everything organized and ready, even down to the finest detail!! She was always around to answer questions and make sure everyone had what they needed and felt comfortable. I would 10/10 recommend her!!! I’ve been around the block with photography and she is by far my favorite planner I’ve worked with and also just an overall amazing person. I can’t wait to work with her more!
