Wedding photography that matters is about the people and the feelings of the wedding day. It's not about the poses that I might imagine or the pretty details that surround the day. My passion is in finding the beauty in the REAL moments of a wedding day and preserving those to not only remind you of that love but to share it with generations to come.

At every step along the way I work to reduce the stress that can come with wedding planning and the wedding day so that you, your family, and your friends can enjoy themselves and celebrate to the fullest!

    Incredible Photos that Capture the Special Moments

    Chris & Megan take incredible photos and truly capture the beautiful and special moments! We got married in Ithaca at Cornell University and leading up to our wedding day, Chris met with us and spent time getting to know us. He also informed us of things we should consider on our wedding day (such as a first look or where we wanted portraits). On our wedding day. Chris and Megan took amazing photos and did a great job directing our family during the portraits. We received our digital photos a week later and were so thrilled with how they looked! We will recommend The Story Photography to anyone looking for professional photos in the upstate NY area!

    Simply the best!

    There are no words to describe how incredible Chris is. He was calm, creative, and a pleasure to work with. Truly one of our favorite vendors. We were floored when we got our pictures back. He captured everything beautifully and we hardly knew he was there! At the end of the night he gave us the kindest words and smiles. Do not even think twice about contacting him - he is the real deal and will make the process easy.

To me, full day is full day. You don't want to be stressed about scheduling your day around a photographer's hours. We work together to refine a timeline for the wedding day and I'm there from the getting ready portion of the day through all the main events of the reception, whatever they may be.
Yes! The only difference between the different packages that I offer are if an album is included and what the style of the album is.
Yes! I offer a no cost engagement session to all of my clients!
I do offer a second photographer option and the people who fill this slot are drawn from a very small group of trusted professional colleagues.
Definitely. Every image is edited to a standard that I am proud to have my name attached to!
No, I prefer focusing on photography only because the creative process of telling a story through still frames compared to utilizing motion are very different and I believe that working in both spheres leads to compromises.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
