Sawicki Studios

Sawicki Studios are husband & wife wedding photographers in the Albany NY, Upstate NY Capital Region area since 2007. Our photographic style can be described as modern and unique yet timeless and classic. We use our signature stylized flare sparingly to sprinkle in a little magic into our client's images while remaining authentic to them and their day- which is a mix of candid photojournalism (documentary style) with a good helping of fine art. Our goal is to simply be visual storytellers through our artistic vision with quality and expertise.

With over 18 years of experience in weddings & expertise in equipment & lighting, we can work with any condition. We are also very easygoing which helps make couples feel at ease on their big day! Beginning as a portrait photographer in 2006, Jen now focuses primarily on weddings & loves to capture the details & natural moments of the day. Chris began his career with senior portraits and an obsession with lighting and creating images that were next level. He is one of the first photographers in the area to incorporate lighting into wedding portraits! (We're new to Zola, but you can see our reviews on other websites while we build here!)

Amazing Photographers
Jen and Chris at Sawicki Studios are simply exceptional. We are not natural posers (at all) and we were a little nervous about how our photos would turn out. That worry disappeared within minutes of being around them. They have this incredible ability to make you feel completely at ease while also directing you with confidence, always knowing exactly what would look best and getting us into poses we never would have found on our own. What blew us away was how completely they documented our day. Every moment felt captured: the candid in-between moments, the big emotional beats, the details we didn't even notice in real time. When we got our gallery back faster than expected, we were genuinely speechless. The couples portraits and golden hour shots look like they belong in a magazine. The colors, lighting, and editing style matched the vibe of our wedding perfectly. Jen and Chris don't just take photos, they disappear into the background and let your day unfold naturally, while somehow capturing everything. We've already recommended them to others, and we'll keep doing so!

No need to look elsewhere!
I first became acquainted with Jen and Chris in 2016 when my now husband and I got engaged and did our engagement session. Since then, we have used them for every occasion, including our wedding, and we have never been disappointed. They provide exceptional, timely work and are just genuinely good people who have perfected their craft. I couldn’t recommend them enough!
