I've been shooting weddings in the Austin area and beyond (have camera, will travel) for 15 years. I truly believe in documenting real feelings and always looking for bright colors and warm light. I think that weddings can and should be personal, fun, special, and of the moment and I do everything I can to help make that happen.

I try to be as stress free as possible while still understanding what I need to do on my day to make sure that everything is captured. I think i'm personable but you can ask my clients :) I still love what I do after being in the business for over a decade.

the greatest to ever do it
Where to even begin? I knew I wanted to hire Leah over 10 years ago when my best friend was looking for a wedding photographer (Leah was already booked because she's simply the greatest to ever do it & she's in high demand). I love the way Leah captures emotion & sees people. Actually getting to hire her was a dream - she sets clear expectations, explains things well, gives you plenty of time to prepare, & goes above & beyond to get you ready for your day. It was so meaningful for us to hire a queer woman to photograph our lesbian wedding. She blended right into our group of friends, seamlessly capturing big moments & creating small ones just for us that will now live in our memories forever. We felt so comfortable with her & so did all of our guests. She was able to naturally & candidly capture so many beautiful shots. I am in awe of her work! She has such an artistic eye (hey female gaze!), but she is also a consummate professional. You can see plainly her decades of experience as she does the work of an entire team condensed into one person. She was there for all the right moments, one angle after another. She also edited so incredibly fast, I couldn't even believe it! Our implicit trust in her paid off because now we have these incredible photos for a lifetime of memories. Leah, you truly are more than a photographer, you're a historian documenting the most important moments of our lives. You are leaving us with historical, archeological artifacts that will live much longer than we do, showing the world that we were here & we were in love. You have woven yourself into the tapestry of queer history & now we have the honor of joining you. Thank you for the photographs, the friendship, the memories, & the real queer history. It was such an honor to have you be a part of our day.

Amazing wedding and engagement photos!
Leah shot both our engagement and wedding pictures, and we love all of the photos! Working with her felt comfortable and natural, even with posed/formal photos Leah does a great job of avoiding awkwardness and injecting levity. We also love Leah’s eye for good photo spots, working with a given setting and lighting to make beautiful scenes happen. Leah is really able to lean into a venue’s aesthetic and bring out the uniqueness it can offer. For both engagement and wedding shoots, Leah took such a great mix of shots - calm, cozy, energetic, stunning, sweet, funny… During our wedding, Leah and her secondary photographer struck the perfect balance of prompting great poses and capturing candid moments; being unobtrusive yet perfectly-placed; giving instructions with intention while still capturing genuine emotion. Leah’s photos capture the vibe and feelings of our wedding day so well. Leah also made sure to get great pics of every guest, we’re so happy to have photos from throughout the reception of moments with so many people, and sharing Leah’s work with them has been such a delight. Overall, Leah is awesome to work with. We will treasure the extensive photos she took for decades, and are pleased with the entire process of working with her!

We feel incredibly lucky to have had Leah (it's pronounced Lay-uh btw) as our wedding photographer. Works of Art!
We’re delighted with our choice of Leah as our wedding photographer! She has a unique ability to capture candid moments that reflect the joy and emotion, and flipping through our photo album feels like reliving all those happy moments. She literally captures sunbeams on cloudy days! As a former venue manager, I had the privilege of seeing Leah work with many of my clients, so I knew she was exceptional. The BEST wedding photographer in ATX!
Leah Muse. What a queen. Hiring this woman was one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our wedding, not only because she provided absolutely stellar photography but also because of the energy and thoughtfulness she brought to our day. Leah noticed the moment my shoulders tensed or my smile dropped even slightly and reminded me to relax, take a deep breath and be present. As a bride prone to overthinking, this was monumental and kept me from getting caught up in the details. Her communication is friendly, straightforward, and clear, she’s flexible, and by the end of our wedding she had also become a friend. Our engagement and wedding photos are SO beautiful and truly capture the silly, emotional vibes that we as a couple and our friends and family share. When we got our sneak peeks on our honeymoon, I saw a photo of myself and said out loud “I didn’t know I could look like that!” If you want a photographer who can capture genuine emotions, work with professionalism, and also bring a fun and laid-back attitude, hire Leah immediately!
