From our initial inquiry through our final transaction, Gabrielle answered countless questions from us, always being professional and patient as we changed quantities, dishes, and bar setups. We had a delightful time at our tasting, and the food was all delicious. We got many compliments from our guests about enjoying their meals, and it looked like everything ran very smoothly. We also got our cake and desserts from Austin Catering, and they did an absolutely lovely job with the decoration that we requested. They even packed up cake leftovers for our guests and sent us to our mini moon with extra cake and food for the road. We did a lot of comparing catering services when planning our wedding, but Austin Catering struck that great balance of being within budget, but not sacrificing quality or our wedding vision. We strongly recommend Gabrielle and the Austin Catering team!”

“La Pera came highly recommended by several of our other vendors, and we were immediately drawn to their colorful presentation and those ridiculously good-looking grazing boards. The only question was: would the food actually taste as good as it looked? (Spoiler: emphatically yes.) We were planning our wedding from New York, and we wanted the food to tell our story. We envisioned food stations that pulled from different parts of our lives: Japanese food because that’s where we got engaged, Mexican and Texan food because we’re both originally from Texas and love Mexico, and some representation of New York, where we now live. It was a pretty specific brief, potentially an annoying one even, but Beth and Liz were immediately enthusiastic about it rather than trying to steer us toward something more straightforward and cookie-cutter. That enthusiasm really carried through the process. The tasting with Liz at their space in South Austin was a lot of fun, and getting to try such a broad selection helped us figure out what we actually wanted on the final menu. The La Pera team was also game to create menu items specifically for us, rather than limiting to their existing options. The best example was a karaage bar they developed for the wedding, which was an absolute smash with our guests. And they didn't stop at the dinner - the grazing board and dessert table were both completely gorgeous and absolutely delicious. On the wedding day, everything was seamless. The food stations were fun and gave the reception a really nice sense of movement, and we never had a single issue with the catering or service. The bar staff in particular have achieved legendary status among our guests, who still bring them up when we talk about the wedding. More than anything, we felt like La Pera understood that the food was an important part of making the wedding feel like our wedding, and they were excited to run with that. We had a great time eating and drinking our way through the reception, which is pretty much exactly what we wanted.”

“Hiring RedBook events was one of our best decisions for our wedding. Not only did we receive prompt communication during their office hours (Wednesday to Saturday), but we were able to schedule for a smaller scale than many caterers are willing to do (50 people initial estimate). Follow up was excellent for confirming guest number, service timeline, allergy adjustments, and vendor meal needs. For our reception size (64 guests), we were able to get a reasonable price per person (31 per adult, 8.50 per kid) on a family style set-up. We chose marinaded chicken and stuffed poblano as entrees. All guests were satisfied with these food options and we were able to accommodate multiple allergies (special order for affected items) and flavor preferences. In addition, we were able to plan our linen/plate layout flexibly with Callie at the Premiere Events show room to fully customize the look with sample pieces. Planning for alcoholic beverage service was also satisfactory. Wine types for flavor pairings were recommended. While we did not like the specific brands recommended, my in-laws were able to purchase independently and make brand adjustments ahead of time. It was quite helpful to have an estimate of total needs and recommendations for general matching types of white and red (ie sauvignon blanc and pinot noir) was helpful.”

We signed an all inclusive contract with our venue and had two options for catering, but the venue owner heavily encouraged us to go with Sterling and I am so glad they did. They provided the meal and our bar service and I’m pleased with the way it all turned out! The appetizers passed during cocktail hour were definitely our favorite part (the chicken and waffles were a big hit with our guests too!) The meal was definitely classic wedding food, but superior to other meals I’ve had at weddings! The staff working the night were some of the nicest people too!! Everyone was smiling and seemed happy - which is not something I’ve experienced at a wedding before. Overall, such a good experience and really helped to elevate our night. Thank you so much!!”

“There are legitimately no words for how amazing, delicious, outstanding and scrumptious Chef Trent’s food was. And somehow, that still doesn’t hold a candle to how kind, responsive and generous he is to work with! My husband and I had a really hard time trying to find food for our wedding. We have dietary restrictions and I have an onion allergy (they’re in everything!) so finding good food is often very hard. I also wanted to honor both of our roots with southern and Cajun dishes. I cannot express how much Privé Catering and Chef Trent knocked it out of park! Our entire wedding party gave him a standing ovation and I still get messages that it was the best food people have ever had. I still dream of the Mac and cheese! Guests didn’t even want cake because the bread pudding and beignets stole the show! I wish I had gotten pictures of the food to share but we ate it so fast! I cannot recommend Privé Catering and Chef Trent enough.”

LAV Sushi started the way a lot of good things do: a bride who needed to pay for her own wedding. Four years and 10,000+ guests later, it's a full team of chefs serving Houston, Austin, and Dallas. We offer sushi stations, roaming hand rolls, poke bars, seated omakase, and hands-on sushi classes, for weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, and welcome parties. Founder Lavinia is the daughter of immigrants, raised on the idea that hospitality means feeding people well and no one feels overlooked. She spent her career in strategy and operations, and runs this company the same way: tight timelines, clear communication, nothing improvised.
