    Exciting food that told our story

    La Pera came highly recommended by several of our other vendors, and we were immediately drawn to their colorful presentation and those ridiculously good-looking grazing boards. The only question was: would the food actually taste as good as it looked? (Spoiler: emphatically yes.) We were planning our wedding from New York, and we wanted the food to tell our story. We envisioned food stations that pulled from different parts of our lives: Japanese food because that’s where we got engaged, Mexican and Texan food because we’re both originally from Texas and love Mexico, and some representation of New York, where we now live. It was a pretty specific brief, potentially an annoying one even, but Beth and Liz were immediately enthusiastic about it rather than trying to steer us toward something more straightforward and cookie-cutter. That enthusiasm really carried through the process. The tasting with Liz at their space in South Austin was a lot of fun, and getting to try such a broad selection helped us figure out what we actually wanted on the final menu. The La Pera team was also game to create menu items specifically for us, rather than limiting to their existing options. The best example was a karaage bar they developed for the wedding, which was an absolute smash with our guests. And they didn't stop at the dinner - the grazing board and dessert table were both completely gorgeous and absolutely delicious. On the wedding day, everything was seamless. The food stations were fun and gave the reception a really nice sense of movement, and we never had a single issue with the catering or service. The bar staff in particular have achieved legendary status among our guests, who still bring them up when we talk about the wedding. More than anything, we felt like La Pera understood that the food was an important part of making the wedding feel like our wedding, and they were excited to run with that. We had a great time eating and drinking our way through the reception, which is pretty much exactly what we wanted.

    Simply Amazing

    La Pera was so easy to work with. They were communicative, patient, flexible, and understanding. The service day of was impeccable, and we've been given many compliments on our wedding day food. They were amazing to work with!

    La Pera is the best and such flavorful food!

    We cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible service provided by La Pera. I would give them 10 stars if I could!! They came in at the last hour after we were impacted by Royal Fig's closure, and immediately got us in for a tasting, answering any and all questions with patience and expertise. La Pera's responsiveness and willingness to accommodate all allergies were outstanding. Everything was clearly marked during passed appetizers so guests know what was included. They went above and beyond to make special gluten-free appetizers just for me, the bride, which was such a thoughtful touch. And let's not forget the food and cocktails—they were nothing short of incredible! Being from the northeast, incredible food was a MUST at our wedding and the La Pera team knocked it out of the park. Not only do they have unique and differentiated menu offering, every bite was so flavorful and wowed us. Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was. We did a full service dinner with hibiscus chicken & braised short-rib with a side of guajillo mashed potatoes and both entrees were some of the best food we've ever eaten. Their team truly put our minds at ease during a stressful time. Planning full-service catering for 100 people within just 45 days seemed seamless under their expert guidance. The staff was very friendly and made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. We are so grateful and happy that we found La Pera to cater our wedding and can't recommend them enough!!

    We were thrilled with La Pera Catering for our wedding! Their communication was prompt, thorough and they were easy to work with every step of the way. The quality and value of their services was immeasurable - the food was absolutely delicious, thoughtful, and gourmet. As a vegetarian couple, we were so impressed by their ample vegetarian and vegan options, which our guests (both vegetarian and not!) raved were the best they'd ever had. The servers were also exceptionally kind and professional. La Pera worked with us to find the best options, and created a truly personalized menu that felt like “us”. We were proud to have them cater for us, and would gladly recommend them to anyone. If you're looking for a caterer who will go above and beyond with incredible food and service, especially for plant-based diets, La Pera Catering is a perfect choice!

    Amazing eats!

    We hired La Pera to cater our wedding meal. The staff, the tablescapes, and the food were all absolutely incredible. Our guests were blown away and so were we! Everything was delicious! The staff were so thoughtful, kind, and communicative. I really appreciated that they made sure my husband and I got to enjoy the food as well. Beth and the whole team were such a pleasure to work with and we could not have asked for a better experience. Everything completely exceeded our expectations.

We work with many local purveyors, makers & farms in and around Central Texas. We source locally wherever possible and always love suggestions for new partners in collaboration.
While we can work with you to exclude certain ingredients from the menu... we do use gluten, nut, dairy, and meat products in our commercial kitchen for the preparation of other events and some menu items are not possible to adapt to specific dietary requests. We can exclude to the best of our ability and have the ability to prepare individual meals for specific needs.
Yes. La Pera Catering carries the required general liability & liquor liability insurance to perform offsite catered events and bartending services. We are also happy to provide a COI to your venue for service.
Absolutely. We are fully licensed and permitted with the City of Austin & Travis County. All of our employees are required to maintain an active Texas Food Handler’s Certification registered with the City of Austin. Upon booking, we are happy to provide these items to the respective parties that need it.
Begin by sending us an inquiry online, or giving us a ring at 512-591-8554. You will be directed to one of our event specialists to jot down the details of your event and they will create a proposal based on your venue, timeline, and service style.
We take a limited number of weddings and fully serviced events for each date to maintain our commitment to excellent hospitality. We have a tendency to book out very quickly for peak season weekend dates and recommend securing your date 6 to 8 months minimum for weddings or more intricate service styles.
The first installment allows our team to begin work on planning your event, therefore we cannot offer a refund on any prepaid funds received and agreed upon. We can cancel the 2nd installment or final balance and effectively cancel the event up to 30 days in advance of the originally selected event date, or transfer your event to a different date in the future that is available.
Yes. La Pera Catering is licensed to provide bartending services and cannot directly purchase your liquor. We can assist to subcontract a liquor purchase through one of our partners for special events.
Yes! We do private tastings that include a plethora of your favorite cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, and menu items to really be able to get a great idea of our plating and flavor profiles. Private tastings can be booked, availability dependant, Monday through Thursday, for $55/ guest for up to 6 guests.
Yes. All of our wedding services include staffing estimates for the full timeline of your event and our team is always there for set up and clean up. Our planning team will assist in coordinating rentals fully, or will make sure we have your rental order handy to organize and set up to your specifications.
