Arrakis Films is a New York City wedding photography and film studio founded by two artists: a former Bolshoi Theatre performer and a film director. We treat every wedding as a piece of cinema, blending editorial fashion aesthetics with honest documentary storytelling. Our photo and video teams work as one unit with a single visual language, so your gallery and your film feel like chapters of the same story. We shoot at New York's top venues, from classic Manhattan ballrooms to intimate lofts, and travel for weddings in Los Angeles and worldwide.

Most teams shoot weddings. We direct them. Photography and cinematography at Arrakis come from one creative vision, not two separate vendors, so nothing clashes and no moment is missed. Our backgrounds in professional ballet and filmmaking give us an instinctive feel for movement, light, and timing, and we know how to help you look and feel natural in front of a camera. Couples come to us for fashion-editorial polish with a documentary heart: images that belong in a magazine and films their families actually rewatch.

Perfect match
Out of all our vendors, Arrakis Films quickly became our favorite. They were open and easy to work with from the first meeting to the final gallery, and they stayed calm through the busiest part of wedding season. The photos captured the atmosphere of the whole day, not just the posed shots, and every frame felt considered. Getting more than 200 fully edited images back within the month made it one of the best decisions we made for the wedding.

I could not imagine my wedding day without Arrakis Films. They are without a doubt the most transparent, organized, and determined team to tell your love story, the way you want it, in a way that's beautifully authentic and heartfelt, including everyone present for such a classic wedding day. It's a little nerve racking picking a vendor as a bride. We thought that since they were both Photo Video/ Super8 Film, it was a no brainer we wanted them to be our photographer. They go above and beyond to get the perfect shot when it matters most, and still when you're not looking, capturing the most perfect moments. It’s been such a gift from them to us to be able to relive a day for that flew by in the blink of an eye. The photos and the videos—are absolutely incredible. I am so in love with every single moment they have captured, and grateful for their guidance and ability to move from one part of the day to the next. I had absolutely no worries!! Especially with everything else going on. I find myself watching our Wedding Film, remembering each moment more and more as it was, and each time I realize that I’m smiling from beginning to end, every. single. time. These memories mean more to us than I can say (especially cause it went by too fast!). The team is truly amazing.
