Allyse Pulliam Photography Inc. is a wife and husband partnership between award-winning photojournalist Allyse Pulliam and wedding photographer extraordinaire Nick Gross. We are down-to-earth, fun, and flexible, and we love our jobs. Our goal is to capture joyful, emotional, and artistic photos of your day and for you to feel happy and comfortable while we do it. We don't care who you are, where you are from, what you did (but extra points if it was cool), as long as you love each other. We are currently located in Newburgh, NY and will happily travel to anywhere you may be
With almost 20 years of experience, we know what we are doing. We bring off camera lighting and get super nerdy about it. Even if you are getting married outside at midnight, you will have beautiful, emotional and well exposed photos. We also come with a bountiful supply of enthusiasm and top notch dad jokes.

Absolutely loved working with Allyse & Nick!
Allyse and Nick are an absolute dream team! Our photos are gorgeous - they are artistic, stunning, and completely capture what we wanted, from breathtaking romantic shots in the rain to fun, quirky moments that feel very us. The whole process was effortless - Allyse was clear, flexible, and made us feel completely comfortable. She and Nick both brought such wonderful energy into our wedding - putting us at ease, making us laugh, and even geeking out with us over LOTR and more. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer team, and highly recommend them for weddings or any occasion! We’ll definitely be calling them in the future.

Allyse was beyond wonderful. We pandemic eloped and had a zoom ceremony, so it was even more important to have a photographer who could capture the moment since our friends and family wouldn't be there in person. Allyse did that (my mom is so grateful to have so many beautiful photos from the day). She captured the essence of our personalities and made our Amazon Prime decorations look wonderful somehow (she has her own lighting!). In addition to all that talent, she also gets an A as an ad-hoc event manager, helping us navigate our nearly complete lack of planning or forethought. Super super super awesome person, nicest, most organized, and exceptionally helpful and takes gorgeous, personable, and intimate photos.
Wedding Disaster Averted!
We had a COVID disaster strike just days before our wedding when our photographer canceled. We called around to nearly 20 photographers in the area 3 days before and Allyse was an immediate fit. She offered to shoot the event on her off-day and not only that, but got her husband to support with groomsman prep. This was something we weren’t even planning on having. Alyse was extremely punctual, professional and we cannot thank her enough for making the day that much more special. During the shoots and the day, she expertly managed the shots, participants and guests. She gave us all the shots we specifically asked for and added so many more all the while making the shots fun and exciting. She worked well with kids and kept the experience light and fun. She gave excellent direction to ensure the best photo, which my wife and I need because we are not used to doing photo shoots. We cannot say enough good about Alyse and her husband. They literally saved our wedding.
