Hi! I’m Katie, owner of SHEL Salon in Portsmouth, NH and a licensed cosmetologist with a passion for creating soft, timeless, and personalized beauty looks. I specialize in wedding hair and makeup and work closely with each bride to bring their vision to life. Since it’s mostly me providing services, you get a calm, friendly, and customized experience from trial to “I do.” My goal is simple: to help you feel confident, radiant, and completely yourself on your wedding day—beauty, just for you.
I’m a salon and bridal stylist who pours my whole heart into creating personalized, feel-good beauty. At SHEL, every color, lash map, and style is custom because I believe your look should fit you perfectly. My studio is warm, welcoming, and all about making you feel confident and cared for. On wedding days, I bring a calm, organized, detail-loving energy to keep your morning smooth, fun, and unforgettable. I truly love what I do, and it shows in every connection, every moment, and every bit of glam I create.

Best hair/makeup artist for your big day!
From our first conversation with Shel Salon, we knew we'd made the right choice for our bridal beauty team. Katie and Brooke made the getting-ready process so easy and fun, and they really listened to what we wanted for our hair and makeup. My entire bridal party felt beautiful and supported throughout the morning, and they were quick to adjust anything we asked for. Their friendly approach took so much stress out of the day, and having them there made everything feel special. We can't recommend Shel Salon enough to any couple looking for beauty professionals who actually care about making your wedding day perfect.

Katie was Great!
I booked Katie from Shel Salon for hair on my wedding day and she was fantastic. She arrived early and took her time styling my bridesmaids' hair and mine without any rush or stress.
