Meet Daniela Lai Daniela Lai is the artist behind DanyMakeup & Hair, an international makeup artist and hairstylist whose career has taken her from Milan to New York. With a background in fashion and luxury beauty, including professional experience with Dior, Daniela brings an elevated, editorial eye to every look she creates. Her signature style is polished, sophisticated and modern, always designed to enhance each client’s individual beauty. Today, she specializes in bridal, special events, beauty, photoshoots and private clients, creating bespoke makeup and hair that feels effortless in person and photographs beautifully.

Versatility with all types of skin, complexions, ages and also European background that allowed to experience multiculturalism and trends in the beauty industry. Experienced in teaching makeup and traveling to all my clients.

Complete bridal hair and makeup service, customized consultation, professional long-wear makeup, lashes and bridal hairstyling.

Yes. I offer both bridal hair and makeup, as well as makeup-only services depending on your needs.
Yes. Bridal trials are available and are a great way to create and perfect your look before the wedding day.
Yes. I’m based in New York City and travel throughout NYC, Long Island, and selected surrounding areas. Travel fees may apply depending on location.
I can usually accommodate up to 4–5 hair and makeup services on my own, depending on timing. For larger bridal parties, I can bring an additional artist.
Yes. Lashes are included with makeup services if desired.
For weddings, I recommend booking as early as possible, especially for popular spring, summer, and fall dates.

    Your go to girl for any special event.

    Dany is my absolute favorite makeup girl for any special occassions. We have worked together on 2 special events and she never fails! Always on time, polite, and open to any ideas and suggestions to hair/makeup. I 10000% recommend her services if you want to feel beautiful with flawless makeup and hair.

    Absolutely Exceptional -Best Makeup Artist in NYC!

    I found Dany on Zola when I was looking for someone to do my wife’s hair and makeup as a surprise for our wedding. I’m so glad I found her. She was kind, professional, and made everything so easy. My wife looked absolutely beautiful and was so happy with the result. It was exactly what I was hoping for.     Amazing Hair & Makeup Artist

    Daniela was such a wonderful person to work with on our special day! She was very punctual and very professional in her work. She listened to all of our needs in regard to hair & makeup, and she made our vision come to life. Not only is Daniela very talented, she is extremely quick with her work! Our hair & makeup held up the entire day & night, even through the extreme heat that we experienced during the day. We will definitely use her again for future events and we highly recommend!!

    Great experience

    I had Daniela from Danymakeup & hair do my makeup for my wedding in New York City and she was incredible. From our first conversation, she responded quickly and was so organized, she really knew exactly what she was doing. On the day of, she made the whole getting-ready experience feel easy and relaxed with her warm and fun energy. The makeup was absolutely beautiful and lasted all day while still looking like the real me. She took so much stress off my shoulders and helped make everything run perfectly.
