With more than 30 years of experience catering Baltimore and Washington area weddings, we can turn that special day into a truly memorable event. Whether you select one of our four unique locations or the many Baltimore and Washington wedding venues we partner with, we will work with you to create a perfect day from start to finish.

Our chef has studied and practiced his craft all over the world, and incorporates his zest for life and cooking in every meal. In addition to the chef and our professional staff, a job leader and decorator are assigned to each event, allowing clients to take advantage of a built-in day-of-coordinator and complimentary food station decor. Regardless of the size or scope of your event, Putting on the Ritz will transform your ideas into festivities that embody your vision. We will collaborate with you on your budget, preferences, and style to customize the perfect menu for your and your guests.

    Great team & service!

    We had an amazing experience with POTR for our wedding. The food was absolutely delicious—so many of our guests came up to us throughout the night to rave about it. Everything was beautifully presented and served seamlessly. From cocktail hour through dinner, the timing was perfect and everything ran so smoothly. The staff was professional, friendly, and attentive without ever being intrusive. They were also incredibly easy to work with during planning, which made the whole process stress-free. You can really tell they care about both the food and the overall guest experience. We’re so grateful for the role they played in making our wedding day such a success. Highly recommend for any event—you won’t be disappointed.

    Delicious Food with Tons of Options!

    We used Putting on the Ritz Catering for our wedding and absolutely loved it! Their transparent, detailed pricing on their website gave us good vibes from the start, and they were more than accommodating with dietary restrictions and menu alterations (ex. Adding a vegetable stock option for noodle bowls, a non-chocolate cake option, etc.) We loved the wide variety of food (Provided by partnered catering service Putting On the Ritz) and our guests really enjoyed the novelty and food the stations offered compared with your typical wedding fare - people still talk about how much they loved the mac and cheese, all the sheet cake flavors, and the grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters. Our only complaint was that we couldn’t try even more of their delicious food, so I guess we’ll have to settle for convincing our friends Putting on the Ritz for their weddings.

    Great to work with

    Putting on the Ritz was an amazing catering service to work with! Claudia was so easy to work with and communicated so efficiently with us throughout the whole planning process. They were flexible and able to accommodate our requests to create the perfect menu for our wedding day. The food itself was amazing! We got tons of feedback from our guests about how great the food was, especially the cupcakes. The day-of staff was incredible! They were super attentive to all of our guests and to us in particular. Getting to enjoy our cocktail hour food was important to us and their staff made sure to bring us a plate with each of our appetizers while we were taking photos so that we could enjoy it. Everything was executed seamlessly throughout the whole event from the table settings to the bar. Highly recommend working with them!

    Smooth and attentive

    We had a great experience with Putting on the Ritz! The food was delicious, and they were easily able to accommodate our various family members' dietary restrictions. They helped us put together a menu we were very excited about, while being attentive to our budget. On our wedding day, they really thought of everything and we felt so taken care of. Thank you so much for helping us pull off a truly wonderful event!

    Delicious!

    Putting on the Ritz is the caterer at the venue we chose, and we couldn’t be happier. Throughout the planning process, they were responsive, professional, and a pleasure to work with. The food was delicious and gorgeous, with a nice variety of options. I (bride) am vegetarian, and it was essential that we find a caterer who could provide delicious veggie options - they definitely hit the mark! They were also attentive to dietary restrictions and allergies some of our guests have. The tables looked gorgeous when set up by the staff and their dinner, bar, and cake service was seamless. I'd highly recommend Putting on the Ritz to other couples planning their special event.
