Mike Bisticas Executive Chef & Owner, Home Bites

Mike's culinary journey began in his grandmother’s kitchen, where the aroma of her family feasts sparked his love for cooking. With years of experience, he has served as the opening chef at renowned restaurants like Nerai and The Greek Tribeca in NYC. While passionate about Greek and Italian cuisines, Mike has also mastered flavors from Mexican and Middle Eastern kitchens. A graduate of the Art Institute of Colorado, Mike is currently the executive chef and owner of Home Bites. He focuses on creating memorable dining experiences that foster connections and celebrate life’s special moments through food.

    From our first contact with Mike B to the day of the wedding, Mike was responsive and interested in what would make our daughter's wedding perfect. She and her fiance met Mike to sample his food and she took away a huge tin of "leftovers" to share with my husband and I. I was skeptical because I didn't think anyone made Spanikopita as good as mine. Mike proved me wrong. His Spanikopita was the best I'd ever had. Our family is Greek and our inlaws are Mexican. Mike prepared authentic Greek and Mexican food and was able to accommodate my daughter's request for Gluten and Dairy free food. The guests raved about the Kokinisto and Paidakia (lamb chops, short ribs) and the Barbacoa (seasoned beef) filled tortillas. Before dinner he offered a charcuterie board filled with Greek and Mexican specialities. The food tables were always full and the guests kept going back for more. We liked his food so much we booked him to cater our New Years Eve party. By the end he wasn't just our caterer, he is now our friend. We cannot recommend him more.

    Home Bites LLC was a pleasure to work with for our wedding catering. Mike and his team were easy to talk to and always quick to respond to any questions or requests we had. The quality of their work was truly amazing - the food was fantastic, with great variety and so many delicious options to choose from. Mike was generous in offering to add a few extra items for us beyond what we had initially selected, and he was always available to hop on a call to discuss the details. He clearly dedicated himself to ensuring our food was perfect and that we were happy with the timing, quality, and prices. We couldn't have asked for better catering for our special day.

    I had a rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding the night before the big event. We had the food delivered and set up by the staff of Home Bites. They were professional, well dressed and well mannered. And the food was perfect. Thank you Home Bites!
