What do you wear?

I have a couple top and bottom suit combos that I offer to my couples as a choice. when you book with me, you'll gain access to a music prep app. In there, you will find questionnaires to tailor your wedding day according to your vision. And my dress code is one of those questions :)

Do you learn new songs?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! As a DJ in a dynamic music landscape, I utilize tools to help me keep up to date with all the hottest trends. I also love learning more about my couples' cultural sounds. I have experience playing for a plethora of different wedding backgrounds including Brazilian, Persian, Arabic, Mexican, Colombian, Polish, Russian, Jewish, Vietnamese, Chinese, and much more.

What makes you different from other musicians?

I take pride in learning and improving on actual DJ skills. In the wedding industry, you may happen upon DJ's who do not practice and it shows. Ask your DJ to send a mix before booking!! I would say I have a style that is dynamic according to my crowd on the dance floor. I am always capable of matching or exceeding the energy the guests bring, no matter how intense. Other times, a couple might be scratching their heads as to whether their guests will dance at all. But when they choose to trust me, it's always a success!

Do you take music requests?

Accepted Answer

Yes! I also take songs on a Do-Not-Play-List. You can also specify how strict or loose you want me to receive requests that are on the Do-Not-Play-List. You can also specify ahead of time where on the music-appropriateness level (Clean content, censored, explicit, or something else) you want the night to take. Sometimes the dance floor may be split right down the middle. Bride's side likes country. And maybe the Groom's side is predominantly Hispanic. But the Groom may also like EDM. It's a challenging push and pull and this is exactly what makes being a DJ so fun. It's all about the right song at the right time.

Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

Yes! And when you book with me, and gain access to your music prep app, you'll also see all of my exclusive recommended playlists. You can either window shop for inspiration, or just tap away to checkmark which ones you want on your playlists. Everything from prelude, ceremony, cocktail, dinner, reception, dance floor, and more. Or if you're more hands-off, I can help fill the blanks for you. On the day of the wedding, I'll come equipped with complete and separate sound system for each location: Ceremony, Cocktail, AND Reception. Meaning there is no turn around time when your guests transition from one area to another.

Are you fully insured?

Yes, and if your venue requires proof or wants to be included on an official certificate, just let me know and I'll have it sent over by email.

Question 7

How early do you come to set up?

Accepted Answer

Generally, it takes about 2 hours to setup. As a precaution and to avoid the early birds, I like to arrive 3 to 4 hours early. This gives me time to anticipate emergencies, setup with peace of mind and tranquility, and to change clothes and gather content when complete. It also allows me time to briefly meet with the planner of the day to go over big items or last minute changes to the timeline. I strike down ceremony and cocktail setups as needed and when time allows. It is standard for venues to give vendors 1 hour to complete strike down and leave. My package durations start at the commencement of ceremony and end after the last dance.

Do you provide other services, such as lighting or photo booths?

I offer uplighting, monogram, photobooth, dancing on the clouds, and cold sparks.

Question 9

What is your travel and break down fee?

Accepted Answer

If your venue is in the DFW metroplex, there is zero travel or breakdown fees. If your venue is outside of Tarrant, Denton, Dallas, Collin, or Rockwall counties, a travel fee will apply based on distance. Occasionally, if a hotel stay is needed because the time needed to travel back will go into the late AM hours, there is no additional fee and the cost will be deducted from the travel fee, if applicable. If an event is out of state or otherwise calls for a plane commute, the travel fee will be calculated on a case by case basis and will take equipment rentals into account.

While prepping, I have a methodical and thorough process that leaves no stone unturned. On wedding day, it is all about the couple and their families. Once we're on the dance floor, it's game time! Behind the booth, I have a prepped playlist direction ready to unleash in just the right way. Take a listen to my mixes and listen for yourself if the style and energy levels are what you are looking for. I like to start out fun and fresh, and end with an energetic bang!
