A string quartet will add an elegant touch to any event. We provide live music for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, dinner receptions, banquets, parties, fundraisers, holiday events and many more special events in the Pittsburgh area. A string quartet consists of two violins, a viola, and a cello. All of our musicians have their degrees in music and have many years of performance experience. We have a wide selection of every type of music for your event from classical to contemporary. We also have an in-house arranger who can arrange any pieces for you that are not a part of our usual performance list.

    Wonderful experience, highly recommend

    We were so happy we picked Three Rivers String Quartet for our wedding at the Pennsylvanian in May 2026. They were extremely responsive and easy to work with during the planning process; it was such a relief to work with a group that knows exactly what they're doing. We didn't have to worry about any details; they provided their own sound equipment and gave so many opportunities for personalization while also allowing us to trust their professional expertise. They sounded amazing and we got lots of compliments on how their music really added to the ambiance of our cocktail hour. They have a remarkably large repertoire--it was nice to be able to pick a specific order of songs we liked for pre-ceremony music and then give a list of options for cocktail hour but let the group select the order and which particular pieces. It really reduced stress to work with such a friendly, professional group. Highly recommend.
