Schaffer Sound Disc Jockeys is a family owned and operated business. Our founder, Ken Schaffer, started the company in 1977 at the ripe old age of fourteen! He started providing DJ entertainment for grade schools and parties and as he grew older demand for his company’s services soared. Soon, those same students he was playing for in school gymnasiums and cafeterias were getting married and many hired his company to perform at their weddings. Ken gradually handed the reins of the company over to the very capable hands of his brothers, Jon and Dave Schaffer.
The growth of our business can be attributed to the unparalleled attention given to detail, the understanding that our reputation is built one client at a time, and the realization that customer satisfaction is always our utmost concern. As a result of our philosophy, we have developed many satisfied clients who have recognized our devotion to quality by honoring us with repeat business and referrals. Everyone was on the dance floor!
Having a good DJ for our wedding was one of our non-negotiables when my now-husband and I started wedding planning, especially since his family is Latino and we wanted a large variety of music played. Needless to say, Schaffer Sound made the entire planning process easy and enjoyable. They have an online portal for you to write down your music choices, along with every little detail you want included in the reception. Chris met with my husband and I to review our selections a few weeks before the wedding, and our DJ, Dave, met with us a few days before the wedding to finalize our music, fine-tune the timeline of the night, and get us excited to dance. Dave had everyone on the dance floor all through the night, and our main compliment post-wedding was just how much FUN everyone had! I'll gladly recommend Schaffer Sound to everyone I know -- they helped create the fun and energetic wedding of our dreams.

Big Mike is a Star (and Schaffer in general)
I was so nervous about the DJ portion of our wedding because it seems to be something that a lot of couples end up unsatisfied with, and I'm such a music junkie. But Schaffer delivered all around when it came to communication, organization, and overall bringing the party. Chris, the owner, walked us through everything really early on, and they have a system for filling out every single thing you could want from first dance songs (and how long you want them to last) to do not plays and must plays. I got to take my time perfecting this and it made me feel so good about everything. Big Mike, who was our wedding DJ, came with a HEALTHY dose of good vibes. He made me feel so comfortable and excited about how everything was going to go, he helped organize the wedding party entrances, and he made everyone feel welcomed and warm throughout the night. The dance floor was filled! My favorite thing he did was take note of when I finally got to the dance floor, and he played all of my "must play" songs so I had a chance to dance to all of my favorites. That was so thoughtful and it was such a delight to get to dance to these songs after such a crazy day, I got to totally let loose. Cannot recommend these guys enough! So professional, so chill, such a joy to work with. I hope I see them again at a wedding soon!

Schaffer Sound Productions made determining the music for the day of super easy and great. They have an online portal where you can write everything you want. My husband and I struggled to find introduction songs, and our DJ showed us a whole list of suggestions that helped make everything seamless. I didn’t feel like I had to worry about the music at all. The DJ assured us that he had it all under control and he did a great job playing songs for everyone from people in their 20’s to 70’s he had everyone wanting to be on the dance floor.

So much fun!
We were thrilled with Schaffer Sound Productions! From our first meeting, they were clear in their communication and easy to talk to. On our wedding day, they kept the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long. Their talent and song selection had every guest up and dancing, exactly what we envisioned for the celebration. The quality and value was fantastic - they played all our must-have songs. Highly recommend Schaffer
Schaffer sound put together an amazing experience for us! They were very detailed in preliminary meetings, gave us lots of opportunities to customize the night and knew all the Jewish traditions! Steve was our DJ and he encouraged us to make a more customized playlist, he was very energetic, and the guests constantly said how great he was! Did everything perfectly
