I've played over 800 piano sets between weddings, restaurants, private parties, hotel lobbies, and more. I have a wildly popular set of solo piano pop, rock, and songwriter covers that I perform frequently around the Portland, OR metro area, PNW, and occasionally domestic U.S. and Canada. Wedding Ceremonies: I specialize in arranging solo piano covers of meaningful songs to the bride & groom, their family, and wedding party. I can also do traditional wedding staples like the Wedding March, Bridal Chorus, or Canon in D. Cocktail Hours/Reception: I specialize in popular covers with selections by the couple.

I will learn new songs for you, and you can create playlists for any events by combining your custom songs with any existing songs in my setlist. I have a highly sought after solo piano pop/rock/songwriter set that I frequently perform at parties, restaurants, and the Portland airport. Songs from 1950s - Today. I take song requests in advance of your wedding. I also take requests on the spot, although I can't guarantee that I'll be able to play them, especially if I've never heard it before. I also offer the option to compose and perform an original solo piano piece that is commissioned, titled, and dedicated especially to the married couple.

Description

I'll play for any breakfast, lunch or dinner related to your wedding. Adding this to a package is $450, with a $150 discount if a tuned piano is on site. Standalone is $850, with a $150 discount if a tuned acoustic piano is on site. This can include meals up to several days before or after. Price does not include additional travel and/or lodging expenses. Ask about discount for 2 or more meals.

Yes! Depending on the package and add-ons you select, I'll learn anywhere from 2 - 8 new songs that you can choose to distribute throughout any and all of your wedding events. In addition, you can take those special requests and combine them with my existing setlist to curate your own custom setlists however you like for whichever events you like! You can also add additional song requests for $125 each. NOTE: I specialize in pop/rock/songwriter/showtunes. You can request songs in other styles, but I may decline if it's out of my wheelhouse.
Short answer: Impromptu requests are welcome, but no guarantees! Long answer: I mostly play by ear (and lead sheets occasionally). So if I've never heard the song before, I likely won't be able to play it on the spot. If I'm quite familiar with it, I'll give it a go. I can also give anything a quick listen and at least try! Worst I can say is "Sorry, I haven't heard it!" Worst you'll hear me play is an attempt to try to learn a new song on the spot. And I'll try if you don't care! Sometimes it's awesome. Sometimes we'll just laugh about it. :) However, I DO learn new songs in advance (see related FAQ)!
I specialize in playing solo piano covers of pop, rock, songwriter, show-tunes and similar songs. My arrangements are known to have a full sound with dynamic and emotional range. I will learn new songs for your wedding (see FAQ "Do you learn new songs?")! You can combine your requested songs with my existing setlist to curate your own special playlists for each event of your day.

I like to arrive 1.5 - 2 hours early if I'm bringing my own gear to setup and test sound. If there's an acoustic piano at the venue I like to arrive an hour early to warm up and test sound. I may also request to test out the acoustic piano days in advance if I can.
I specialize in performing solo piano covers of pop, rock, songwriter, and showtunes songs. These can range from soft, heartfelt love songs and melancholic tearjerkers, to upbeat bangers and unexpected surprises. The eras I generally pull from range from the 1950s - Today.
My travel fee includes venues within 60 miles of Portland, OR. If you're outside of that range and I'm driving, an additional 75 cents per mile (round-trip) applies. If I'm unable to make it home by 11:00pm PST, I require lodging. If you'd like to fly me in and/or have me on hand for multiple days, let's talk! My setup and breakdown fee is included in each package deal.
