We traditionally wear either black and white or all black, but we're open to requests (formal wear, etc.)

We have a full classical string music repertoire and a growing contemporary popular music repertoire, but we will play new songs of any genre, given some lead time to find and rehearse the music.

Yes, we absolutely take music requests. We will work with you to have the ceremony or reception music of your dreams.

What is your style?

We specialize in classical music, and we are broadening our popular music repertoire, but we are open to playing other styles by request.

How early do you come to set up?

We arrive 30 minutes early to set up. We require that the venue provide us with 4 armless chairs and shelter from the elements, if the venue is outdoors (shade for a very sunny day or cover for a rainy day). We provide our own music stands.

What is your travel and break down fee?

The Hildegard String Quartet is based in Chittenden County. Travel fees for each player will be included for events outside of a 20 mile radius of Burlington. When applicable, the 2022 IRS standard mileage rate of $0.625 per mile will be added for each player.

Question 8

What are your rates?

Accepted Answer

The Hildegard Quartet has a 2023 rate of $495 for the first hour. Subsequent hours are $440 per hour. Deposits of $50 are required to reserve dates.
