Classically trained from age four, Krista holds a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance from Biola University, where she graduated Cum Laude and was awarded the Outstanding String Musician Honor for two consecutive years. Krista has performed for international royalty and heads of state, Hollywood celebrities and government dignitaries including Arnold Schwarzenegger and Colin Powell. In 2017, Krista was invited to perform for the VIP opening reception of Museum Barberini located in Potsdam, Germany. Special guests included German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

    Amazing Wedding Harpist

    Krista was our harpist for our San Francisco City Hall wedding. She is on the approved list of vendors and we were so ecstatic that she was available for our time and date. She checked in with us on what kind of music we wanted her to play for the ceremony and she even learned to play the animal crossing theme song as part of the process! We were so thrilled with her harp playing and would highly recommend her to anyone that wants a harpist for their wedding or event!

    Wedding September 2025

    Harpist Krista Strader was a wonderful addition to our wedding day. From our first interactions, she was kind & prompt in her communication, making the booking process smooth and easy. On the day of the wedding, her performance was absolutely beautiful - the lovely harp music set the perfect tone for our ceremony. Krista provided everything we wanted and more, and many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed her elegant playing.     The best!

    We hired Kristy to provide music for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. She was amazing and so easy to work with - would highly recommend her to anyone looking for live music for their wedding! The next day, we had family come up to us to say they felt they had been transported to a wedding straight out of a movie because of the harp music!

    Krista is the best!

    I have worked with Krista for many years and in many venues and can give her my highest recommendation! As a wedding officiant, I know how important it is to have a musician who is not only professional but easy to work with. Krista is one of the best harpists I've ever heard and is a total joy to be around. Her clients love her. And so do I.

I will arrive in professional, elegant attire, usually black with color accents in hair or jewelry to best coordinate with your event. If you prefer that I not wear black for your event, please let me know, and I'll do my best to accommodate!
Special Song Request Guidelines (outside of current online repertoire lists):  All songs currently listed in the repertoire pages (https://www.kristastrader.com/repertoire) are available choices at no additional fees ~ I have hundreds of songs to choose from in various genre categories listed in Repertoire Links!  Additional requests outside of my current repertoire must be given one month minimum advance notice and may be accommodated at the rate of $150.00 per song request to allow for the additional time commitment involved to create a suitable harp arrangement and learn the song prior to the wedding date.

I provide a Music Consultation Form in advance of the wedding day for my couples to fill out with requests and special songs from my repertoire they would like for the ceremony or reception.
Yes, I have both harp insurance and business liability insurance.
Elegant, hip, sophisticated.
I will arrive approximately 30-45 minutes prior to the time you have contracted me to begin the music. For example, if your ceremony begins at 5pm, and I start the guest arrival music at 4:30pm, I will arrive between 3:45pm-4pm for set up. I will require a 4x6 shaded, flat area for the harp.
There is no sales tax.
All quotes will include travel expenses (if applies).
