About Fred Benedetti

Fred Benedetti

Owner

NEW: San Diego Music Hall of Fame inductee 2023. Fred Benedetti has performed all across the globe with his guitar for over 30 years. He studied with the great Andres Segovia and has been featured on numerous CD's as a soloist and as a member of a variety of ensembles. These days he loves to play locally in his home town where he also teaches guitar at SDSU and is the head of the guitar department as a full-time music professor at Grossmont College. He is equally at home with a variety of styles from classical, flamenco, bossa-nova, and popular fingerstyle music and having grown up in Hawaii, also plays the ukulele.

I particularly enjoy arranging music by request for clients. I can arrange any piece of music to fit as a solo guitar piece which is especially helpful for music for weddings and special occasions. Let me know what you want, and I can play it!

    Couldn’t be happier

We are so happy to have had Fred at our wedding. He offered to let us use his PA system and in the stress leading up to the ceremony he was a true professional, everything was set up before I (the groom) arrived. Everything worked and it was one less thing to worry about, which was more comforting than I would have expected while I waited nervously. The music he played was wonderful and he seemed so happy to be there to play for us. He was accommodating and a very pleasant guest. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

YES. I specialize in arranging requested music for your event. I will send audio/demo version to you for approval.
I'm a classically trained musician that can authentically play a variety of styles of music including pop, rock, jazz, Latin, and a variety of ethnic music including klezmer, eastern-european, and middle-eastern music. Having performed for thirty years plus, I have a very good sense for how to choose music to suit the mood of the event.
