If you are looking for a makeup artist that will take the time to get to know you and your skin/makeup goals on your big day, look no further! I'm Haley Andringa and I'm the founder of this freelance traveling makeup artist business. I started Hailstorm Studios Makeup Artistry at 16 years old, and I've since dedicated my life to providing exceptional wedding services to brides across the country! We travel anywhere from Washington to New York, offering one-on-one consultations prior to booking, allowing us to work closely with you to make everything as personalized and comfortable as possible.

We are young artists from all different fields in the makeup industry that keep up with both the most recent makeup trends that flood the internet, as well as past makeup styles and techniques that never go out of style. Additionally, we focus on catering to our client's needs from consultation to wedding day, and are available at any time in between to answer questions or address nerves and concerns leading up to the big day. We want to focus on YOU, and that is our bottom line from start to finish.

Yes we do! We travel to the venue or whatever on site location the bridal party will be heading to to get ready for the wedding day!
We do have travel fees based on how far our artist(s) needs to drive to get to the venue or prep location. Each travel fee varies based on the distance. If it is a destination wedding, talk to our scheduling team about travel costs!
Yes we do! We have a three person minimum in order to make your contract and big day worth while makeup wise for all parties involved.
The short answer is no, but we do have a booking/scheduling fee of $50.00 that we impliment after signing our contract that is considered a non refundable fee rather than a deposit.
No you do not! Our artists are equipped with a variety of products that are suitable for all our clientele. But of course, if there is a specific lip color or product that you love dearly and want us to use, we are more than happy to apply it for you!
All of our artists travel from different locations to you, so it really depends on who available to with you on the big day. If it is a very short distance for your artist, at times the fee may be waived, but majority of the time we need to add those fees for sake of our artist, gas is EXPENSIVE these days!
Our best suggestion is to bring the following to your consultation: -Knowledge of when you are taking photos (helps with planning timeline) -A photo of you in makeup that you felt GOOD in -A clean face - no makeup is preferred before you come to us because we'll be doing you up -Stories to share about all things engagement and plans for the future, its gossip hour and we want ALL THE TEA!
We do not! As of right now, all of our artists are working on MUA services only and we do not schedule hair styling on top of makeup.
Per person we suggest 40 minutes for makeup, and 45 for the bride to make sure things are picture perfect for you! A recommended 15 minutes should be designated for a touch up period just before everyone heads out the door for the glam team so that we have time to do lips and all the finishing touches! In addition to the actual makeup time period, we recommend planning a 30 minute time period prior to the start of the services for us to set up, as well as another 20 minutes or so for take down.
We provide you (the bride) with a deluxe touch up kit that you will be able to use throughout the day! This will come with undereye patches for you to use 15 minutes before the service, then a beauty blender, a powder puff loaded with loose powder along with a traveling case for it, makeup remover for the night (or morning, we don't judge) after the wedding, a spoolie, and a lip applicator for lip touch ups!

    Hailstorm Studios LLC was an absolute delight to work with for my wedding makeup. Haley, the owner, had a quick, clear, easy, and friendly communication style that put me at ease from the very beginning. Her work was truly amazing - everyone's makeup turned out exactly how they wanted, and it stayed on all night long, even through very sweaty moments in pictures and on the dance floor! Haley was super bubbly and friendly during the getting ready process, which helped keep the mood light and fun. I'd book Hailstorm Studios again in a heartbeat - the quality of the makeup application was wonderful and long-lasting. Hailstorm Studios was a wonderful addition to our day!

    Haley is the best!!!

    So happy I chose Haley as my MUA for my wedding day! She listened to what the wedding party and myself did or didn’t want for makeup and DELIVERED! Everyone looked stunning!
