I am very familiar with the flow of wedding ceremonies. I have a sense for the cues that are needed to coordinate the set list for perfect timing. The sound of my guitar is very special and I make sure the sound is perfect for the setting.

    Rich Thompson's guitar music was WONDERFUL!

    Rich Thompson was the perfect selection to play for our wedding ceremony! He was extremely easy and flexible to work with. Rich is a super professional and nice guy. He is classically trained and you can tell by the quality of his playing. As a plus, his fees are very reasonable, and believe me I called many musicians. Rich gave me such peace of mind feeling confident and comfortable that he would play the songs we chose exactly how we wanted them. He carefully listened to our requests and helped plan the selections with giving great suggestions that I didn't even think of. I would absolutely, without reservation, recommend Rich to make your perfect day perfectly beautiful with his music!!

Yes, I love to learn new songs for couples. It is always fun to make my own arrangements that fit nicely into the ceremony.
I use a classical style nylon string guitar. It was made by an award-winning guitar builder and people tell me they love the way it sounds. I can take just about any song and make an arrangement of it on my guitar. I often use a loop pedal to help me play the vocal melody over the harmony. I also love to play repertoire from the renaissance, baroque, classical, romantic, and 20th century.
