About Elder Emos

Elder Emos

Established in the winter of 2023, Elder Emos is an emo cover band based out of St. Louis, Misery. Whether we're playing dive bars, upscale venues, outdoor music festivals, or weddings, we bring an unparalleled energy to both the craft and genre. While we take what we do seriously, we don't take ourselves too seriously, as is evident by our on-stage antics and smiling faces. With each member having experience and a passion for different sides of the "emo" spectrum, we have built up an eclectic repertoire of nearly 100 songs that will undoubtedly fit the vibe AND your budget. Contact us today to have "Emo Night Done Right" at your wedding!

While we always have a blast playing the hits, we pride ourselves in ripping through the "deep cuts" that you won't hear from any other cover band. We embrace the challenge the genre can bring and strive to push ourselves. Need some pop-punk hits to get people on the dancefloor? We've got everything from All Time Low to Yellowcard. Do you need to slow it down a little so grandma sticks around? We've got City and Colour and Death Cab for Cutie for that. Do you need to headbang? So do we! We have Bayside, Coheed and Cambria, and Underoath to scream along to. Let us help you curate your very own setlist and even request songs for your big day!

    PERFECT EMO COVER BAND

The Elder Emos were an absolute blast to work with for our wedding! From our first call, their communication was quick, friendly, and clear - they really took the time to understand our music preferences and what we were hoping for. On the day of, they absolutely delivered, keeping the dance floor packed with their rockin' and fun performance. They were super open to our song requests and even learned a few of our favorite tunes, which made the whole night feel so personal and special. I can't recommend the Elder Emos enough - they helped make our wedding day unforgettable!

    Elder Emo’s

The Elder Emos were an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very first call, their communication style was professional, friendly, and respectful. They listened intently to our song requests and music preferences, and truly became part of our wedding "family" on the big day. The band was so fun and open, getting all of our guests up and dancing the night away. They even played a special song for our 1 1/2 year old daughter, which was such a thoughtful touch that made the night even more memorable. The Elder Emos were incredible and we couldn't have asked for a better band to celebrate our special day.

We're flexible! You can let us know the attire we have in mind and we will do our best to match it in terms of color and type of dress. Given the physicality required to play the music we do and bring you the energetic performance we're known for, we prefer to wear short sleeves and allow our drummer to wear shorts in the event the venue is on the warmer side.
Yes, we do! We love learning new songs and we are always trying to bring new material to every set we play. Our clients will be provided a spreadsheet of all songs we have performed and will be able to curate their own setlist. We will do our best to learn 3-5 new songs for you, however, we want to ensure that we adhere to our own standard of quality, so we will work with you to find alternatives, if need be. Additional new songs will be an extra charge per song. Let's talk and we'll figure out what will work best!
We can! While we typically close out the evening with everyone on the dance floor, we can provide both acoustic and full-band music whenever you need it.
Considering we run our own sound, we prefer to set up and soundcheck several hours before any guests arrive to ensure all gear is functional and the volume is acceptable.
We provide an eclectic range of songs from a broad spectrum of genres: emo (of course), pop-punk, post-hardcore, metalcore, indie, rock, and pop. We aren't afraid to try new things! We've gone from Atreyu to All Time Low, then Coheed and Cambria to We The Kings within the same setlist. We strive to create a show with a little bit of everything for everyone.
