Good Results, But a Few Too Many Hiccups

I came into this with high expectations since I had received about six recommendations from friends and family, so I was confident in my choice. The work itself is good, but there were enough hiccups along the way that I can give three stars. Communication with the owner Kim was a consistent issue throughout the entire process. Every email, whether it was an initial inquiry or a question leading up to the wedding, took one to two weeks to get a response. No other vendor I worked with came close to that turnaround time. The trial went beautifully, and I was really happy with my hair and makeup. But the night before my wedding, I found out my hair stylist was sick and someone new would be stepping in. I completely understand that these things can happen. The new stylist was capable, but I spent my wedding morning guiding her through what I wanted and my hair didn't turn out quite like it did at the trial. The timeline was also an issue. Kim had provided a getting ready schedule and assured me I would not go last. I ended up last for makeup anyway, putting us 45 minutes behind and leaving my photographers and videographers waiting on me. My makeup looked amazing and I was truly happy with it. I just wish the experience around it had matched the quality of the work.
