Irish Hills Wedding Barn

5.0

  • Up to 250 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,500

Built-in 1848, the wedding barn was originally a working farm, used as a hay and milking barn on the Briggs family 500-acre farm. Once the family moved on, however, the property slowly fell into disrepair, including the barn. Luckily, right away Joel had an amazing vision for what could be the ideal spot, he saw the potential like no other for a unique Irish Hills Wedding location and was happy to buy the property in 2017. Since then, many hours and much effort have gone into creating the perfect space for weddings. As one of Michigan’s Premier Wedding Venues, this venue is a great choice!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides lighting and sound
  • Flexible event spaces
  • Has a relaxed and casual vibe

We had our wedding at the Irish Hills Wedding Barn and could not have been happier with the experience. From the moment we first reached out, the staff were fast, informative, and sincere in their communication - they were truly eager to help make our day special. The venue itself is amazing, with a beautiful rustic and unique barn setting that helped make our wedding day so very special. The staff were around all day, pleasant and upbeat, and went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly with no hiccups. The DJ and officiant they suggested were also incredible, and all of the vendors they recommended turned out great. We couldn't have asked for anything more, and are so grateful to the Irish Hills Wedding Barn team for helping to make our wedding day absolutely perfect.

We didn’t want a cookie-cutter wedding—we wanted something that felt fun, a little quirky, and totally us. This venue? Absolutely nailed it. It’s got that rustic barn charm, but somehow manages to feel like the coolest, most inviting space you’ve ever stepped into. Think fairy lights, wood beams, and an atmosphere that practically begs for laughter, dancing, and one too many toasts. We turned the whole thing into a wedding weekend by renting the adjoining Airbnb, which was a game-changer. Having 12 of our nearest and dearest stay on-site transformed it into a nonstop celebration. The night before the wedding, we had a DIY pizza night, complete with way too many toppings and a heated debate about pineapple on pizza. By the time the big day rolled around, it felt like everyone had already bonded over late-night snacks and board games in the living room. The day itself was pure magic. We held the ceremony outside under a canopy of trees, where nature did most of the decorating for us. During cocktail hour, guests lounged on mismatched vintage furniture we’d rented (highly recommend!) while a friend played acoustic covers of 90s hits. The barn transformed beautifully for dinner and dancing, and there was even space for a little surprise—an impromptu late-night waffle bar that we set up after the formalities were done. Yes, waffles. It was a hit. The venue team? Incredible. They were super responsive, proactive in giving us tips, and genuinely seemed excited about helping us pull off our slightly offbeat wedding vision. They even recommended a florist who totally got our vibe (wildflowers and ferns everywhere). If you’re dreaming of a wedding that’s more about joy and personality than stiff formality, this is the place. It gave us the freedom to create something truly special—where every little detail felt personal, and everyone left with a big grin and a full heart (and maybe a slight waffle-induced food coma). We’ll be talking about this weekend for years to come.

Stonebridge Golf Club was the perfect venue for our wedding. I worked at Stonebridge for 6 years and met my husband there, and I wanted nothing more than to get married at the beautiful venue. The staff was very easy to communicate with - Kim was always quick to respond and available whenever we had questions (even the silliest of questions). Kim and Jeff took care of everything we needed and made sure our day was exactly how we envisioned. The venue itself is beautiful, with indoor and outdoor spaces that provided a fun, open atmosphere for our guests. The tiki bar was a big hit! Justin, the chef was able to accommodate needs and made the best Swedish meatballs! Considering all that they handled for us and the quality of the venue, Stonebridge was a great value. They provide chairs/tables, linens, table settings, and all food and beverages making it an easy one stop shop. We would highly recommend them to any couple looking for a beautiful, accommodating venue and thoughtful staff for their special day.
