    10-out-of-10 Wedding Ceremony Venue

This review is LONG overdue, but the Michigan Theater was hands-down the best venue we could’ve asked for in a ceremony venue for our June 2025 wedding. My (now) husband and I weren’t looking for anything over the top (in terms of coordinating vendors!!) and the historic beauty of the main theater was all we needed for a backdrop. It’s gorgeous and our photos turned out exactly as we intended (below are only a small handful). Clark, the rentals manager, was responsive, available, and helpful during our planning process, and their tech team handled all the rest (can't say I thought about lighting much when we booked the theater initially, but that consulting process was seamless when we came by the week before our ceremony, and they were flexible when our officiant asked for some changes the day-of). The day-of, Clark was on top of communicating to their team over the radios and even with some guests of honor running a bit behind schedule, everything went off without a hitch. So many of our guests said they loved the creative approach for a wedding ceremony--it is a performance when it comes down to it!!--and we were so grateful to use this space before quite literally walking over to one of our favorite Ann Arbor restaurants for our dinner reception. Support local and don't hesitate to book your wedding here! We have no regrets and would do it all over again in a heartbeat.
