“We loved Simple Fare! I don't write reviews unless I truly mean it. The food was absolutely delicious, working with them was so easy, communication was constant, and I sometimes felt like Maeghan was my second Wedding Coordinator. She had so many good ideas and always kept our vision and most importantly (to us), our budget in mind! She helped us organize our floor plan in a way that kept things running smooth and kept people partying - for example, coffee and desserts on the edge of the dance floor to keep people dancing all night! As someone who had no idea where to begin planning, I appreciated every bit of guidance Maeghan provided. Our venue had a list of preferred caterers but we specifically went off-list so we could work with Simple Fare! Because they were not pre-approved, there were some additional hoops to jump through, but Maeghan and Candice and everyone at Simple Fare went above and beyond to make sure everything was covered and that the process was smooth on our end. Truly no extra steps were added for us. Candice was our on-site event manager and went the extra mile to make sure our dinner service ran smoothly. She coordinated tables for the buffet so there was never a line, and stopped by our sweetheart table multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted! The bartenders and servers did an amazing job and seemed to be having a great time during the reception, which in turn made all the guests have an even better time! Who says you can't have fun while doing your job, you know? Everyone raved about the food, and I can attest it was delicious. Get the short rib!!! And the stuffed mushrooms and oatmeal raisin cookies :) I'd recommend their food and service to anyone planning an event!”

For starters, she created a delicious menu accommodating over a dozen allergies. The dessert pies that she recommended from a local bakery were amazing. Jodi was very easy to work with. She gave good advice on the floor plans and was very patient with us when we made multiple changes to the seating arrangement and table sizes. Her team setup our DIY decorations and made the reception hall beautiful. And the staff were a delight to work with. Among the lovely reception, and our guests enjoying the meals, did we enjoy the food on our wedding day? Of course not! Why? Because you don’t eat on your wedding day. We knew from before we started mapping out our wedding that we wanted a taco truck, and we figured it would not be an easy task to get one of such quality to come out to the boonies of Vermont. But Trail Break did, and they made the whole process so easy! We were completely floored during our first tasting with them, at just how good every single item on their menu is. We locked it in immediately from there and never looked back. The fact that they can be your food and drink provider, all in one, is huge. And it’s just all so good, with so many flexible options for drinks from batch cocktails to single serve cans - they really work with you to match what you’re looking for. And then on site, I can’t say enough good things about how flexible and chill they were.
