“I hired Kelsey for my November 2024 wedding and she and her team exceeded my expectations. I honestly can't stop thinking about how good my hair and makeup looked the day of my wedding. I was admittedly nervous scheduling my trial because I realized the salon is not in Philly, but in Quakertown, which was about an hour drive. However, when I met Kelsey, I was reminded of why I booked in the first place - her personality is so warm and welcoming, funny, and puts you at ease immediately. I had the same exact reaction the morning of my wedding. I received hair and makeup services and my bridesmaids and MOB/MOG had their hair styled by Kelsey's associate. I thought everyone looked gorgeous and as this was one of the more expensive vendors I paid for myself, I did feel like my money was well spent. If you like full, full coverage with heavy foundation, etc I don't think this is the vendor for you. However, I think what Kelsey did with my makeup was even better because it looked so natural, but still looked like I was wearing the right amount of makeup. On top of my hair and makeup already looking perfect in my opinion, it happened to be snowing/freezing rain the day of my wedding and all of our photos were taken outside. My makeup did not budge! I touched up my lip gloss that was about it. My curls fell slightly because of the rain, but I was still very impressed my hairstyle lasted at all because of the weather. Overall, if you're on the fence about whether you'd like a professional to do your hair or makeup for your wedding, I would highly recommend someone like Kelsey who will make you feel like the most beautiful version of yourself and take the stress out of doing it yourself.”

Christine was able to help answer any questions and made suggestions for me and my skincare routine during my trial run for the makeup. Because of her suggestions, I ended up with a healthy glow on my skin and less wrinkles so I didn't have to wear concealer at all for my wedding! I was thrilled about that since I wanted to have my freckles still show through and have a more natural look for the pictures. I was matched with Liseth for hair and Andy for makeup, they both are so talented. Throughout the whole process the Updos team was very responsive, communicatIve and easy to work with. Before my trial they gave me opportunity to share inspo pics they could see exactly what I wanted. I sent the pictures and when I went to the trial both Liseth and Andy listened and did a great job. I did make a few changes however, I did love my look and the changes were very minor. On the day of the wedding both Liseth and Andy were on time and they did an awesome job on everyone’s hair and makeup. When looking for hair and makeup vendors, it was incredibly important to me to find a team that specializes in natural-looking hair and makeup and uses clean, quality products. Earthtones hit the nail on the head, and I think they're the best hidden gem we found when booking wedding vendors. They accommodated two brides who needed hair and makeup and were understanding that we wanted two very different styles (one of us with an updo and one with a simple blowout). For our trial, I wanted to make sure I saw all of my options, so they let me try three different styles, which was above and beyond what I expected. EvaMarie and Olivia even accommodated adding a hair service the night of our rehearsal dinner at the last minute! On our wedding morning, Cori, our makeup artist, was truly the most calming and grounded presence in the room. She listened to both brides and our families about what we wanted and didn't want, and made as many tweaks as needed until we got our makeup just right. “My hair is naturally frizzy, thick, and curly. Somehow, Katherine wrangled it into a beautiful, sleek-yet-whimsical updo for my wedding. Despite it drizzling and being a little humid, my hair didn’t fall, frizz, or budge ALL NIGHT on my wedding day. My bridesmaids, mom, and MIL also looked amazing all night — and she did all of her hair on her own! Her services were an incredible value and she is wildly efficient. She really did an incredible job, from fully blowing out my mom’s hair to (with enthusiastic permission) cutting and fixing my maid of honor’s bangs so their hair looked perfect. She helped me test out tons of styles and tiny tweaks at my trial and the morning of to make sure I was 100% happy. I would say things like “I want more of *gestures vaguely at the top of my head*” or “I want less this *grabs random pieces of hair*” and she created a masterpiece. She just GETS it and was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. My hair looked absolutely incredible for hours through sweat and rain and a veil being popped on and off. Booking Katherine was one of the best choices I made for my wedding!! Her prices are so fair and I cannot recommend her highly enough.”
