They made us feel totally safe asking all of our questions and took care of everything, working with our venue effortlessly. The performers on the day were phenomenal, and our guests are still talking about it! Their talent was incredible, and they were kind, fun, and professional to work with. Our ceremony guitarist learned our entrance songs and performed them beautifully. Our special dances were played from mp3 and were timed perfectly. Even though we honestly didn't give them much direction for timing, they just nailed it! And then the party! Our family and friends love to dance, and the band kept the energy high all night long. They even learned a couple of extra songs for us that sounded amazing. Their talent is honestly unreal. They definitely were supposed to take more breaks than they did, but they just kept playing, and even gave us an encore. After the wedding, we got to chat with some of the band members, and they were all so kind and genuinely cool people. The entertainment really shapes the overall atmosphere of a wedding, and because of Cover Story, our wedding day was perfect. We'd recommend Cover Story for any event, hands down!”

“Brian is one of the best wedding DJs in the business. In the past two years I’ve been to eight different weddings. Brian was the DJ for three of the eight, and the party/reception component of the events was never more fun than when Brian was driving the bus. He is an east coast DJ, but he spun tracks at both of my sister-in-laws’ weddings and as we were searching for a DJ for our own wedding we reached out just to see what he would charge for a wedding in Chicago. Turns out the price was right. Brian traveled to Chicago, MC’d our entire wedding, brought all of the equipment necessary and made our day exceptional in every way. I think there are a few things that really set Brian apart from other wedding DJs. Anyone can stand there and run through a playlist, but Brian went off book a few times to match and capture the energy of the guests. As we were in the midst of the planning process he added zero stress, and just calmly walked us through the process of selecting songs. He had suggestions and recommendations along the way. He even brought an extra speaker so that we could plug our digital piano in and the pianist would be able to play loudly enough. Overall, we can’t recommend Brian highly enough. You will not regret choosing him to DJ at your wedding, party, event. Whatever it is, Brian is a huge value add and a pleasure to work with.”

“Our guests loved the Gibbonses. While we were planning, they paid attention to every detail – recording the pronunciation of the bridal party’s names and recommending adjustments to our trivia game. Aside from being a lot of fun, they also seem to really care. They were flexible with covid concerns and let me take as long as I needed to decide on them without a deposit. “The Hook Club was by far the coolest musicians I was able to find in terms of having an NYC night out vibe, and not a typical "wedding" vibe. We had a bass and guitar duo for our cocktail hour. They were super nice and awesome musicians. It started raining an hour into our cocktails so we had to move inside, and the bassist switched to playing a piano so that we could continue the music inside. Everyone was so impressed by how multi-talented they were!! Loved them and wish we had them play music for more of our reception. Dan, the founder, as well as the rest of their staff were incredibly organized and attentive throughout the planning process. Highly recommend!!”

“Spenser was very professional from when we first spoke and through our special day. He had such a speedy set up, had the timeline down, and did a fantastic job with coordinating with our other vendors. We’ve received so many compliments from our guests telling us how good our DJ was. So many guests leave early from a wedding but ours stayed on the dance floor the whole night. 10/10 would recommend!”
