We did a lot of research into DJs during the planning process as we knew it was an important role and could mean the difference between a fun wedding and an awkward one. From the moment we talked to John on our initial call, we knew he was the right fit for us. Aside from reception music, John covered music at the ceremony and cocktail hour, microphones and sound for us and our officiant, lighting for our reception, and a custom monogram that turned out amazing. We had a few special requests from our processional song, to passing out glow sticks and other favors, to having a surprise musical guest for the father daughter dance and all were managed great by John. John brought along Guy as his assistant/our second DJ and he was amazing as well. Both were ready to make sure we had everything we needed for the entire day and were professional with how they handled everything. At the end of the day, John kept everything going smoothly from the ceremony to the reception, he was a great emcee, played everything we wanted to hear, and most importantly he kept everyone dancing all night long. It perfectly set the mood I was looking for, and I was so happy that he was able to play our nontraditional music selections; thankfully he was able to use a Spotify playlist I had made just for cocktail hour. I received so many compliments on the music from my guests, and he kept them dancing for hours! But the one thing Ed did that I was most impressed with and touched by, was him picking the perfect next song when my husband was dancing with his daughter. Our photographer was able to get some beautiful photos of the moment, and we will be treasuring them for years. Without Ed's instincts and quick thinking, we wouldn't have those photos. “We hired DJ Chuck from mydeejay for our wedding on April 6, 2024 at Kent Island Resort, and it was the best decision! From our initial phone call, after interviewing a few different DJs from different companies, we knew Chuck would be the right fit. Throughout the planning process he was very accommodating, and the mydeejay planning portal was incredibly thorough and easy to navigate. Chuck arrived early to set up for both our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. His equipment was top of the line - everyone said our ceremony music (which was played outside during an incredibly windy day) sounded like live string music. His indoor set up was incredibly sleek looking. Chuck played all of our requested songs, cut them at the perfect places when needed (for ceremony and dances) and mixed in others that kept our dance floor packed all night - which is what we wanted most at our reception. We also ordered uplighting through them which turned out great. I highly recommend DJ Chuck and mydeejay for your wedding or event!”

I initially picked up a camera as a hobby, and then friends started asking me to do photography for them. Pretty soon I was doing photography for my friend's weddings, and I was hooked. It was such an exhilarating feeling to capture such an important day in the lives of two people in love! But where I really found my love was with the video camera.

He already delivered about half of our retouched photos a week after the wedding which was insane and I love every single one. He was flexible with the 5 flower girls we had in and out of pictures and the multiple areas on our venue property. Overall an amazing experience and I recommend his work to anyone and everyone looking. He was very considerate when I first reached out about his work and wanted to use him and was very mindful of his travel fees to fit in our budget.”

“Ne'Kea and the Art of Beauty team were impeccable. I needed someone who could do both makeup and hair, and my wedding party had a spectrum of races, skin tones and hair types. This was not a problem at all for Ne'Kea and her team. Contacting her was easy and her responsiveness was prompt and professional. She worked with me to schedule my trial, which could have been a challenge because I live in New York and the wedding was in Baltimore. We ended up doing the trial near me in New Jersey and it couldn't have been more convenient.
