At six years old, she began taking piano lessons with Jean Wonders, and at eight she began Suzuki harp lessons with professional harpist, instructor, and adjudicator Candyce Dunham. She never looked back after her first lesson in October 2007. During her many years as a student, Olivia continued to push herself musically by competing in numerous competitions winning the annual Buckeye Christian School Organization’s spring competition for five consecutive years.

“Olivia played the harp at our wedding 9/1/2024 and did a wonderful job. It was the perfect added piece to our ceremony. She played before (while our guests and bridal party were getting seated/lining up), during (when my dad and I walked down), and after (when our guests exited) the ceremony and the music was just beautiful and peaceful. I met with her a few weeks prior to pick out the music we wanted and she had a lot of different songs/varieties to choose from. She was very responsive and showed up on time (which meant a lot being a bride). We couldn’t have asked for better music to be played for our wedding and our guests loved it/her too. We highly recommend her as a harpist for your wedding.”

Bre met with me a year prior to my wedding, helped create a spreadsheet to keep track of all vendors, gave amazing recommendations on vendors, did a walk through of the venue with me, created timelines, helped with o ur rehearsal & so much more. All of that was done BEFORE the wedding day was even here. Bre goes above and beyond to coordinate all your vendors and puts so much effort in making sure your vision comes to life. The day of my wedding I, nor anyone in the bridal party was bothered with vendor questions which really allowed everyone to just be able to relax. When arriving to our venue Bre had helped set up the decor and everything was stunning. Because I live close by her she even came and picked up my welcome sign prior to the wedding day along with the marriage certificate so I truly had nothing to worry about the day of the wedding. Bre helped everyone stay on track with timing, helped everyone throughout the ceremony know where to stand, when to start walking, etc - which is so helpful when you’re trying to get a bunch of people in a bridal party to listen. Once the wedding was over Bre packed up all of our decor making sure everything was extremely organized and she even took home my flower bouquet since I was having it preserved and helped coordinate that to ensure the bouquet would be safe at the end of the night. If you are on the fence about hiring a coordinator - just do it. You truly will not regret hiring Bre, she was the best vendor/decisions I could have made for our wedding!”

“I found Alexa on the Knot and booked her for Monarch’s full wedding planning package as my husband & I were planning a wedding outside of Chicago in an unconventional venue, 9 months away, and lived in another state. It was a big challenge but from the initial consultation, we loved Alexa’s energy, organization, commitment and just knew we could trust her with our once in a lifetime event. The planning process was extremely organized, thorough and well-paced. She matched my attention to detail, tackled unplanned challenges with ferocity (which included a limited selection of vendors given the location of our venue) and was as dedicated to bringing my very specific vision to life as I was. She brought great vendor recommendations and connections and did countless hours of research on new vendors. Details were well-documented and thoroughly discussed to ensure all parties were aligned. Even though our venue was farther outside Chicago (Indiana), she ran several venue walkthroughs in-person, attended vendor visits with me, and always accommodated my husband and I’s busy schedule. As Alexa started to step away for her maternity leave (which started right before our wedding date), she did an amazing job ensuring her team was fully prepared to handle last minute preparations and day-of responsibilities. The day-of team of 3 were awesome with completely handling all details A-Z so I didn’t have to worry about anything, even despite some last minute changes due to weather! Due to the complexity of our venue, its location, short timeline, and being from out-of-state, we are SO GLAD we booked Monarch for their full planning package and had the privilege of working with Alexa! It was sincerely our pleasure to have her bring our special day to life, she was a joy to work with and get to know. If I were getting married again, I’d book her services again no question! She not only made the day run smoothly, but set up all of my favors, stationery and even the bud vases she made exactly how I pictured it! We had some fashion emergencies and Kim literally saved the day by sowing on straps to make a dress that wouldn’t zip finally close. I cannot rave about Kim enough!! We got endless compliments about our day and it would have been impossible without her. Kim is worth every single penny and then some.”

“my photography group was outstanding!! sherri and her group were open to my creativity and loved the poses I wanted to randomly throw in!! there are 2 girls and 2 guys so nothing was missed on my special day!! the positivity that came from them all was amazing talk about a hype team!! also I booked her very early so she dealt with me for a year and a half and was very attentive to all my changes wants and needs!! she also worked with me on payments. also my husband and I are both plus size people and they made sure all of our good angles were in the shot!! I was only able to upload 6 photos and that was just not enough to show how amazing these pictures are!! I can't wait to get my videos back!! oh yeah they also do those to!!!”
